I know that something either Doctor or CM related needs them to craft a certain med. How do you get them, where do you find them? I'm fairly ignorant in the harvesting side of things, so I could use a little tip. Thanks!

The Holocron (ctrl + h) tells you stuff like this. Seeds are fruits and vegetables. You would go to resources -> resource tree -> organic resource -> flora resources -> flora food -> seeds

I knew I was setting myself up for a joke here So, since I was unable to find that info in the holocron (due to a failure on my part with the user interface, of course) I will follow up with one question. If its flora, (and I know this sounds likea dumb, redundant question, but I want to be sure) you need a flora farm to harvest them?
