Thread: A Message for a Fellow Doc.

(I send this to other doctors on Starsider, after asking them of course. It pertains to What many doctors are striving for here and represents what we look for in the future to those who do-not visit the forums)

I think the bottom line is 2 things.
First as a doc on SS I run into too many Master Docs (wasted a few thousand credits jumping to different planets last night looking for a good buff spot. (Our supply exceeds the demand) There were like 19 doctors at 3 starports (Coronet, Dant Mining, Theed) That was even later in the evening than I might start 11:00 p.m. eastern time.
Secondly, Customers have resisted any changes and it is going to be hard to change that mindset. I think we did this to our selves because to become a doc I didn't charge people b/c I was earning experience. When were you ever tipped by a dancer/musician you healed in a cantina.
I used to balk at customers who didn't tip for a heal but I came off looking like a jerk. Now that there are hundreds/thousands of us doc it is even worse.
It geet frustrating so I don't buff as much any more... Even when I am in the mood to do it.

All of this will improve dramatically once the mythical combat balance goes in. Until then, I wish you good luck in changing this. You're trying to price fix a market economy, and attempts to do so are rarely successful. I've simply stopped buffing, as I've found it to be too much hassle to aquire the necessary meat and deal with customers. You might consider doing the same, and finding another source of income.

As stated, this is merely something gathered from the forums for docs to glance at and consider. Im not demanding a price change but just encouraging the thought.

I really agree with Sacbut, I just haven't had the opportunity to do it yet. (too much competition when i want to buff). Fortunately you are looking at the community and that is a good thing

Most Doctors react with a "Maybe, Ill think about it" I really love this answer, its all I want. I'm not asking anyone to pay more *blaster point to temple* hehe.
Some doctors try to respond with hatemail but my addignore list has plenty of room for those who dont read.
