1. Your best bet is to read your server Trade forums. They are an excellent way of getting a pulse on what things are selling for. In fact, I would look at that board on a regular basis. If you don't see what you're looking for in the first few pages, do a search and it will find the latest auction for meats, etc.
2. Visit www.swgcraft.com - this is a fantastic sight that lists all the current resource spawns for each server including the stats. It's the site I check constantly to see what new spawns have come and what has left. You'll want to check this regularly so that you can harvest your own resources / meats when a good spawn comes up.
3. The key things you need to look for are: Avian meat, Herbivore meat, Lokian Wild Wheat, Tatooine Fiberplast (chemical), Class 4 Liquid Petroleum (chemical), Dolovite Iron (it's an iron but you need to look for this exact type), and Domesticated Oats.
4. Each resource, you'll want the highest OQ and PE as possible. A good rule of thumb is OQ+PE = 1500. There is one exception, Tatooine Fiberplast, I'd also make sure the UT is high. Lokian Wild Wheat and Tatooine Fiberplast will determine how many charges you get.
5. Read the sticky notes on the top of this forum. It's a fantastic guide and rich with information. And it explains it better than I just did
