I have a private crafting station in my house, rated just a shade under 14. How much of a factor does this come into play when experimenting/crafting. I personally haven't noticed much, if any difference from using my station compared to a public one.

I have crafting stations almost all above +40, and honestly i dont see much difference in the success rates. some people say they do, i dont really. i buy them for prestige, and they really dont cost that much neways. the max anyone has every gotten was +45 on the rating

Yoshua's right...as far as I have seen ther functionality rating does nothing except drive up the price for the station. I'm a weaponsmith / doctor / and architect and with all the various crafting stations I have used I honesty don't see diffrences when i used my stations as compaired to the stations we have in opur guild hall that are not as high in functionality. Heck I sometimes get better results using the station in my R2 then the +43 in my house

Thank you for your replies. I was just confirming my experiences as well.
Makes you wonder why they are even rated

I have found they have helped in my case. I didn't keep any stats on it but using "perfect" crafting tools (15.00) and crafting stations above 43 I vary rarely get anything besides a greator amazing success. I would say it has reduced my chances of a failuresor good success by at least 10%-15%.

Using a near perfect crafting station (44.66) and 15.00 tools I rarly fail or go below great success. I have a crafting station in a droid for emergencies and the quality of the product is noticable.

The difference between a 40 and a 44 seems to be negligible, with the only real effect of reducing failures, haven't had a chance to work on a 45. One day I will...one day...
