Also, you might want to consider experimenting ABECs for charges and not for power. Total healing power (calculated by charges * power) is higher that way. And the 12 to 14 less power wont be noticed. In my opinion, c40/p460 stims are better than c30/p472. If you want high powered PvP Stim-Bs, you have to mess around with janta blood, anyway.

Stim Es take 1 CRDM, just like Ds -- the Es just take 1 more BEC, and have slightly more specific resource requirements... But even with the worst ABEC you can make, the Es have more charges, and significantly more power (and tat fiber and lok wheat are always available, so you can always go mine whatever's there). With 11 points, you should be able to make 1150-ish power, 40 use Es on most servers; with 12 points, they can be well over 1200 power.
And while you may be right that a Doc will heal a fully buffed player from "zero to full with a stim D", think of how many people have xx4x medic in their template... And think of how many people just want the best, regardless of the cost...
The downside, really, is that you can only make 333 of 'em at a time, and good schematics can be a pain to grind out.
