I'm looking for alternate ways to make cash, and I've heard a lot of docs complaining about rare medical resources. So an idea was born......... I should start a medical supply house of sorts. Now I'm not a doctor, and I don't play one on Galaxies, so I need some expert advice. I'd appreciate if you folks would share your thoughts and opinions on a few things.

1. What resources are hard to come by for doctors? I've heard about Tattoine fiberplast, Talusian water, Lokian wild wheat, and Dattoine berries.Has anyone written a good guide for this?

2. What type of survey equipment do you need forwild wheat, and berries?

3. Is there a market? Would you doctors pay someone for that kind of service? I'm willing to trade for medications that I can use.

1. Those are the main ones. Avian meat, herbivore meat, class 4 liquid petro fuel, and reactive gas are some other ones that are useful to docs. But the ones you listed are perhaps used most often. Avian meat/reactive gas are used for the (somewhat bugged) enhance packs, and herbivore meat/class 4 petro are used for advanced chemical release duration mechanisms.

You want high overall quality(900+) and whatever potential energy you can find, for most resources. For some of them, like the Lokian wild wheat/Dantooine berries, you take what you can get, since there's only one type available at any time. Given a choice, though, pick the one with higher overall quality. I can go into more depth if you need more information.

3. Hard to say. I'd pay for a decent supply, but I wouldn't pay THAT much. Probably 4-5 credits a resource tops, but more likely to look for 3. The people I talk to expect 8+ credits/resource, which is about what I sell my stims for, so there's no way I'd pay that much. Discounted meds would work out, I think, but ymmv with different doctors. I think miners do better selling rare resources to smiths, as medics are usually too poor to buy resources.

hard to say if there is a market since the market on each galaxy is vastly different...

i find that i have a lot of luck posting on my server boards with requests for resources...i always find a miner or two willing to hunt for resources...i know the same is true for a lot of artisans...

i think being a good miner could be very profitable..i know i run med harvesters all the time and i still have resources that i cant harvest b/c of the lack of lots...

But i know there are many doctors looking to get out of having to get resources and would be more than happy if u supplied them with resources at a reasonable price.

I think some of the ur best sellers will definately be the components needed for advanced components...

Lok wild wheat, Talusian Water, Dan Berries, tattoine fiber, class 4 liquid petro fuel, dolovite iron...

Other resources are

good high OQ fiberplast is in demand alot since stim D and E require it as a inorganic...also good high OQ and PE berries (not just from dantooine) are needed for high level packs...Good Seed class organics will sell as well...basically look for good high OQ and PE inorganics and organics and you should be able find a doctor market...advertise on the server boards...remember to list the stats ofthe resources u are selling so people now what it is..makes better sales that way...
