Here's what I would recommend.

1) Get the proper ressources to make adv. biological effect controlers... Lok Wild Wheat and tatt fiberplast. Get cheap stuff. (12-15k of each)

2) Get about 6 junk quality food/chem crafting tools

3) Make yourself a crafting macro that uses at least 6 tools. You can find those macros on this board.

4) Grind away.

With a macro, you only need to double click on the ressources and the rest is done automatically, no need to click next next next etc... it's WAY faster

Then, try to get a TV besides the computer, set yourself AFK and start the macro. In an evening, you should be able to do 3, maybe 4 of those boxes while watching TV. If you have a funky programmable mouse, you could also program a button to do a double click with 1 click. I don't think that goes against the rules.

And grind away...

In an odd way, this used to be less painful when we had 10 minute shuttle times and no mounts or vehicles. I would just happily grind away while waiting for shuttles or running from one place to another (it beat one-shotting all the dwarf nunas on the way to Anchorhead).I ended up short 1.5 boxes of crafting between combat medic and doctor (so 6.5 boxes complete) without ever having to actually stay in place and mindlessly grind. I'm not eactly sure what I would do today since we no longer have any of that natural downtime from traveling.

My only advice is, just be happy you aren't grinding a crafting profession like chef or weaponsmith. Doctors have it comparatively easy.

You want ways to make the crafting grind fun? Well let's see...

While crafting:

1. Hire an escort to remove an article of clothing for every 50 ABEC's you create.

2. Convince a friend to give you admin rights to his house. Theninstead of using crafting mode, create actual items and drop them in his basement.

3. Hire four noobs to stand on all four corners of your toon and cycle the following macro: /yell PLEASE STAND BACK! BIOLOGICAL HAZARD IN PROGRESS! MEDICAL GENIUS CRAFTING EXPLOSIVES WITHIN THIS AREA!!!!!

4. Play Episode IV and write down the entire dialogue between Han Solo and Greedo. Then create a macro with all Greedo's lines and play it in the midst of the Coronet Starport Plaza while you craft.

5. Have your toon remove all his clothing. Start your crafting macros then run around a player city of the opposite faction your toon is and approach all the player charcters and say "I slept with your wife and daughter last night!!!" while you're overt...

6. Have an image designer bleach your skin all white. Then, sit in front of an AFK walking billboard outside Theed and say "Don't shop at ******** (Insert name of vendor being advertised), I went there and when I came out I looked like this!

7. Take down all the advertising information being spouted by the billboard guy in #6. Create your own macro, then go to another starport and run the same add, but change the prices to 1 CPU...

If that doesn't work, you may simply have to suffer through the crafting grind like the rest of us did. Use five crafting stations and run then in consecutive order...

Crafting is for the dedicated at heart. Me personally I just crafted a ton of Components and Stim B's and sold them accordingly. I also ran around and healed people, crafted myself more wound packs, ect. Heck I even crafted people that were only Novice Medic that could make Wound B's.

Docs have a lot of options, but most people will say "oh just make ABECs". I don't agree with that as its a waste of resources, and you don't learn anything about crafting as a Doc.

Simple...camp Nyax with a group. Kill Nyax, and you have 20 minutes or so to grind the crafting while you watch the rest of the campers in the room insult each other. I finished 2 boxes last night alone with this method.
