Those of you testing the CU will now know Docs can heal wounds/buff outside the hospital (seemingly without a droid too unless that's a bug), which IMO isn't too bad an idea. However, this brings us back to the reoccurant question of "what to do with hospitals?"
Both player and NPC city hospitals are nice window dressing at the moment, and under the CU (at least as far as I'm aware) there's not an awful lot of change. That being the case I've an idea I'd like to put forward for a kick around, and would welcome toany other suggestions if people have any.
It's pretty simple really, but how about an XP bonus (stackable with an inspiration buff perhaps?) For healing other players of their wounds in hospital? This will help prospective docs on the way up the tree, and hopefully keep a reasonalbe healer prescence in some of the major hospitals as opposed to say, the starports where current doc services seem to be on offer. With any luck and proper aplication I hope a change like this will encourage Docs tospend a little time away from combat to help serve the community, while not making us feel like a complete charity. After all it's a certainty that a number of groups and solo players will still need medical attention, post combat, and shouldn't have to roam the galaxy looking for a doc to heal them. With a little tweak, I'd hope hospitals could be the mutually benificial solution to that problem..
What do people think?
