I was able to switch my Master Doc, Master Medic, Master CM into a Master BH Master Pistoleer with some other random skills.
And I switched my Master Smuggler and BH alt into a Doctor.
So you have a lot of flexibility.

it takes 2 elite professions to get max lv80 .. leaving around 30 sp to play with..
docs can master elite/doc or CM / & novice with their sp's because doc doesnt count as a combat class for masteries.. so we can have 3 masteries still
That'd explain why all of my buffpacks are converted to 60 CL stimpacks, and as a Master Doc (woo-hoo! Mr. Combat Profession) I have a CL of 55. ![]()
So basically I *HAVE* to take up a 2nd combat profession in order to use 'em.
This just gets better 'n better.

Please don't think that I am slow, but how have you tried out the conversion process? I was just on today and I saw not the CU as of yet. I thought that Test Center was using new characters. Are you importing characters to TC?
I'm just looking for a little clarification here.

docs shouldnt need the stims.. coz heal skill is inate... they r meant mainly for use by combat professions.. the fact buffpacks worth millions become stims is a dupe though

Wow! Thanks for this info! I was wondering if we would be able to pick any other profession or if we were limited to something we'd already mastered.

Looks like you are limited to only certian professions (combat related) to/from which you can respec...
For example, I can move my Master Doc skills to Master Bio-Engineer, but I can't do diddly/squat with any of the pts tied up in Master Merchant.

I just wanted to make sure that Doc was counted as a combat skill. I am master swords/Doc 4440 (cause of a bunch of FS skills). I plan to change to Master BH/Almost master Commando/with prolly some medic skills. Thanks for the info.

As a pure crafting Doc, I would request respec into crafting professions.
I've always been, and always will be a Crafter.
