Thread: pricing advance components formula?
I do apprecaite, and apologize for adding another pricing question on this forum =) hehe
Average enhancement D is about 50 units of rare resources (anywhere from 10 cpu to 3 cpu, but let's go with 10 cpu [since you'll want to buy really good stuff if you can]), 1 Solid Delivery, 2 Chemical Delivery, 3 Biological Effect things.
On average, I've been getting 22 charges on an enhancement pack. Let's say 60%, or 13 of these buffs, go towards sales. So, since buffs sell for 1k per stat, 13k credits per pack. Let's say 80% success (I know I give refunds for failures, meaning buffs under 1000).
So a doctor's cost is say 500 for the resources plus the cost of the parts he buys from you. So you should charge at the most 6250 between all the components in a buffpack (You're getting half his profits), and at least 1250 for the components for a buff (You're getting 10% of his profits).
I'd suggest 2500 creds for the set of components for a buff, or 15k for the components for a full set of buff packs (6 solid delivery shells, 12 Chemical Delivery, 18 Biological Effect Controllers [these numbers are off a bit, I can't remember exactly what they are, and they vary on a couple components]).
This means a Doc makes 78k about and his cost is about 18k. That's a big piece of the pie, but he's notdoing all the hard work of making the buffs. All he has to charge for is the rare resources he uses, his time sitting there and buffing, and his ability to use the buffs.
I'd suggest selling them in groups based on necessity for buff packs by the way. It's easier for us to tell how much cash we'll make off of buying from you, and considering that we can potentially make a lot of cash off of buying components from you (which is the only hard part about making the buffs), you'll probably increase sales. You'll need to double check how many components the buffs take though, I can't remember exactly, and I'm pretty sure my numbers are off.
