My best sugestion, MSwords with TKA imp. cob.

On the downside: You have to supply yourself with armor.

On the upside: You do decent amount of damage.

This is a very solo-strong template, I use it currently.

yeah, get the best of both worlds, get master swords, and with your extra points take master balance conditioning in TKA (if you have the points in case of FS skills) you get the improved COB, and a good kd attack from tk, and some great damage from master swords, plus your doc healing. It is what i have done, and i love it.....only down side is armor, my armor is just as good as a tk's armor 6k resists...but it does take a beating with what i hunt.

I am TKM, Master Doc (mainly to revive fallen comrades) and Pikeman 0040, defense is unreal, I can tank 3 80+ creatures as long as I can keep there attention. Don't really need to heal anyone else, everyone si always beating on Casho! Is a good tanking template though. Allowed me to solo the Queen in the Myydril caverns (however thats spelled) and the lost soul, not to many amission that you cannot run alone using a little patience.

I'm currently a TKM / 0044 Pike / 4-0-3-0 Medic. I'm looking at going for TKM/MPike/4xxx Doc.... what do you guys think? I love to solo, and from what I see so far in this thread, I have chosen wisely. I'd choose pikes over swords, depending on your style of play. I like the crowd control of pikes to wade through groups of mobs. Swords do good damage, but you get no crowd control (although you do get some from TKM). It really depends on how you want your own experience to be.

edit: I'm bad at math...

I m MDoc/TKM and recently reskilled my spare points to Swordman 0004 - adding +60 to general melee accuracy and giving me headhit and improved critical hit as much needed high damage hits.

I think you will enjoy both. I look at it like this:

If you want to primarily be a Doc then I think TKM is the best match to let you be the toughest and best Doc in combat you can be. You will be able to heal others when they need it even when you are getting beat on. It is awefully nice to not have to buy expensive armor, and 6000 protection armor is expensive if you can find it. Plus you can personalize your look with the clothes you want to wear, you don't have to look like all the other armor wearing melee folks

If you go Swords/Doc then I think Doc gives you the added toughness to be an awesome swordsman. I think Swordsman take more damage than TKM so you will be healing yourself a little more than you would as TKM, this would take away some of the healing you could give away. But you will be dishing out more damage.

I think it depends on what you want to play first, if you want to be a Doc then I think TKM is better, if you want to do damage first then I think Swordsman is better. IMO people have underestimated the amount of damage a TKM can do, if you learn the right combinations of moves your damage output is very decent. Use speed to your advantage and you will be able to land two 400 damage hits in the same time a swordsman can land a 900 damage hit, so you can see if you learn how to do it you wont be that far off of the damage output of the swordsman.

TKM definately!

I don't have to worry about buying or wearing armor, or weapons! Very cost effective, and less crap in your inventory.

With taunt, I can pull agro off other players, keeping myself and the group healed.

CoB is macro'd to give me the added effects all the time in combat.

I was Master Doc/TKM pre-CU, and after CU it took some getting used to but I love it now. I think the best part is being able to rebuff, and heal wounds in the middle of combat as well. Don't have to have camp, or droid out. Very nice.
