To become a Master Doctor costs 140 sp , i have worked out a different system that would cost 142sp but keep most of the talents already enjoyed by a doctor.
Remove crafting line (being done anyway)
Reduce to 8 skill boxes ,6sp for novice ,5sp each 1st line ,4sp 2nd line ,3sp master
Put disease cure, revive and long term enhance in master ,the rest in the second line boxes
Up the exp to match current amount required and up the cost to learn each skill box to match (if im right thats 128000 creditsTotal)
On Bio Engineer (never studied this so please corect me if i go wrong) put in the crafting tree from Doc
Remove the need to learn 4skill boxes inharvesting in scout instead give 10 point creature harvest at novice BE (but no more later on soif you wishto master BE you will still need scout)
If my maths is corect this should tally to 142 sp
Doctors should not have to rely on others for their stims as quality may not be easily controled and more importantly price.

That may just happen when the main users stop being in control of production (BE's get charged for raw materials so the cost is past onto the docs and you will have docs spamming on the battle feild "Revive 20k, Disease and Poison Cure 10k,Health Heal 5k").Imagine if Weaponsmiths had to buy all their components from someone else or sacrifice combat in order to make them themselves, how well that would go down in their comunity? thats what we are being asked to do.
I hope this make some sense to everybody or atleast somebody other than me.

Let me get this straight, you propose to make Doc a 2 tier prof and let the BE med crafting be a kind of dynamic pickup. By that that you don't need any pre-reqs just for the crafting branch but must have them for master BE?

Yes make Doc a 2 tier but with exp and cost the same as now so it will take and cost just as much.
There will be some that will go for the craft side of BE at the cost of combat anyway (then no doubt come on this board and winge about it).
And Be should remain as it is otherwise they might as well rehash the whole medical profession in SWG.More changes, more agro more gripe.
I only proposed a way to try and keep as many in this profession as happy as possible (with all changes you can't please everybody someone will get upset)
they are in part trying to get away from anyone having three elite combat proffesions, but in turn have created a one elite profesion for those in the Doc trade.
I'm sorry but i can see the possible out come of letting two other professions dictate the price of goods for docs to use,namely hunters and BE's will be supplying and creating the meds docs will need to do there job in SWG, just take a look at the real world and how monopolisation can (not always granted) inflate prices because they can and they know everybody will pay.Go to any bazzar or trader that is selling what is needed for the good quality stims, wound and buff packs and you will no doubt see what i am talking about (on farstar in coronet Lokian wheat 400 units for 6000c 15c per unit then BE might want 30c per unit or more)
This is the bigger picture i can see coming (i so dearly hope i am wrong because it would be a great shame) and the more docs are willing to pay the more they may try to hike up the price.Greed is part of human nature whether the money is real or not.Unless they programmers do something about fixing the prices and leave it all in the hands of the players then there may bea problem.
Either that or too few players will go for doc and it will (to coin a phrase on this forum) completly nerf the doctor proffesion.
I'm not saying i'm right it is just my thoughts, obsevations and opinion on what i have seen and heard lately.The only way to find out what will really happen is to wait (which i intend to do)and see,but if nobody says anything positive or constructive (which what i had hoped my post had done) then all anybody will see is a lot of winging whineing and complaing inderviduals and get TOUGH as a response.
