Thread: Which do you find more efficent?

Hi,
I was wondering which you guys find more efficent. Hiring another doctor to make your componets for you for buffs or making them yourselves?
If you have another person make your componets, whats the best way to do it?

Hey there Beccalynn,
Fellow Ahazi doc here. I for one find it more efficient to make my own, except for things like the area cures which require CM components. I've collected millions of units of assorted resources in all my time as a Doctor, and it does tend to come out cheaper to do so than to buy them. It does take a while, gathering the cash and energy to buy the various harvesters and keep them running, and finding waypoints for good resources, but once you are past that initial outlay for the equipment you need, you make more money in the long run. Generally, making your own subcomponents is cheaper in the long run, because if you employ somebody else that somebody wants to make a profit, also. If you dont employ somebody else, that profit is yours.
The only reason to have somebody else make the components is if you cant make them yourself for example if you are not 12pt but need really good ABECs, or if you dont have good enough resources. In the first case, having a schematic made is usually cheaper than buying the finished subcomponents, in the second case I found it best to work with what I have and price accordingly.

I do currenlty make my own, and I have a ton ofmoney andresources... thats not an issue, I was just wondering if paying someone to make them is something that was done often, but I do see your points... Thank you for your replys *Hugs*

hey since the three of u are all ahazi doc's i wanna ask something, where do u buy/harvest your herbivore meat. i just started crafting and have been informed that there hasn't been a decent spawn in a while. If any of you have the where-abouts of a place that sells good herbivore meat, plz post.

Well, a long time back, there was some very nice Dantooine herbivore meat, Tisheh. I had heard that people were wondering where the supplies of it were, as no one seemed to have it for sale. You Ahazi docs might hate me for this, but I spent somewhere on the order of 30 million credits collecting as much of it as I could, and I am still using it

I almost hated you. Until I looked up Tishe in SWGCraft and looked at the stats of my Eossirha
But then again, I dont have a lot of that

If such place exist in ANY server, I'm most certainly moving my crafting Doc toon there. 
As far as I know, best way (in fact, the only way) to get decent to large quantities of Herb Meat is to keep an eye open for new spawns (And bear in mind that due the 700 PE cap on this type of meat, anything with 850+ OQ, 400+ PE can be considered a decent spawn).

lol.. well... I hear the meat on Endor is good now, as well as the meat on Dathomir I am going to go hunting on Endor tonight, so I'll let ya know if it is there or not. The best place to check often is www.swgcraft.com Oh and what about that gas spawn on Tat? hehe I have a few words.. 'Thank the Gaming Heavens' I just ran out of the last awesome spawn and was starting to sweat hehe

I am loaded with herb meat / Cl4 LPF resulting in 63 power ACRDMs and a few 66 power ones, and im not investing into more resources pre-CU if I cant get them really cheap.
Currently I got some harvies on the 910+OQ/960+DR reactive gas, though. If I decide to move to BE after CU, hopefully this will still be good for doc and CM crafting.

Yeah I agree with you there..I also have some of that gas pulling.. and I may make a small run of buffs just to refill the vendor.. but until the CU I too have been holding off to see how its gonna change.
