When we are able to respec our templates for the CR, I am interessted in if doc skills will count as combat related skills?

There was an answer in the HoC chat yesterday I can't handle with:

Q: how will we able to change our skill points when the CU will be live ?

A: There is a complete new respec UI that will allow you to switch around your combat related skills and try them out for a while before commiting to your new skill template.

"... combat related skills ..." Are Doc skills combat related?

On TC they are. u get a higher combat level when u learn a medic skillbox.

from the same source:
*|DKP|RoughRyder* How is the skill point respec going to work when the curb goes live?

We are trying to make the skill respec as fair and balanced as possible. You will be able to switch around any of your combat related skills, though we are trying to keep Novice skill points only tradeable for Novice skill, Elite skills for Elite skills, etc.

hmm - as BioEngy is an Hybrid/Elite Prof and Medic counts as Novice/Basic Prof, does that mean the Docs that want to stay crafters cannot transfer their skills from Medic (2 spare lines now) to BioEngy-Crafting? Meaning they have to grind the 4 Skillboxes for med crafting again?

I would expect the Doc skill points to be transferrable to BE ... and you'll already have the Medic Crafting. I wonder that they won't allow you to take Novice professions with Elite points ... that seems a bit on the odd side, though the other way makes more sense to block.

...has mastered the Pilot profession

If they do not allow players to respec all there used SP, combat or otherwise then anyone "on the fence" about whether to leave or not will leave.

Just imagine a one combat master, with all sp used..the rest being in non-combat crafting skills. This person will have to drop a tree in rifleman to pick up ranged support, then grind a full tree in rifle under the new system.

I would hope that they allow us to respec the novice medic to the BE crafting branch. If they don't, I think I will likely drop a doctor branch to pick up the BE crafting branch since the grinding of the doctor branch should be less time-consuming than grinding out the crafting branch (I think).

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

The last thing I read went something like

Elite combat for elite combat

Non-Elite combat for non-elite combat.

Yes, doc/cm/medic counted as combat.

There is a push to make the respec allowed for all players, all skill points. This is what I am supporting. In the current game one my like being a crafter, for example, but with such a large change in the game one my want to be a fighter. I support being able to make such alarge change in ones template when the game changes are this large without having to start from scratch. To me a skill point earned is a skill point earned.

I think of it as a "veteran reward" sort of redo.

We shall see if they change thier minds.

Please push hard. The Elite for Elite Combat and Non-Elite Combat for Non-Elite Combat is going to punish professions such a doctor that must master a Non-Elite profession instead of just having a tree or two.
