You have to heal someone in combat in order to get XP. Buffing or healing someone at pease doesn't give any kind of XP. If someone is fighting a mob that's giving 5k of combat XP, and you heal that person while the person is in combat and the mob is killed, you will get 5k's worth of medical XP.

I too was scared at first that after buffing a few and healing a dozen I only had 1.5k of XP but you really need to heal people in combat. If you can find a grinding spot like fort tusken, use bacta spray and heal a few at once, you'll get nice XP from that, and help them out at the same time...

Good luck!

Oh, now armor is a whole 'nother story! Our beloved composite is Assault type now, which doc cannot wear. We need Battle armor now, and my guess is you'll have a very hard time finding one (just like me, hehe)

Again, thank you very much SOE for bringing us more challenges, we were SO bored before! /sarcasm off

you'll have to be around for the combat, but docs wont have to actually engage other players offensively. You just need to be there to support your group.

Even though you are not required to engage enemies to get healing xp, be aware that the enemies will hate you for healing the guy they were about to kill. If you heal, you generate hate towards yourself. If that hate gets bigger than what other people generate by actually doing damage to the target, you will get aggroed. At that point, pray that the guy you just healed is smart enough to push the /taunt button and that it actually works.

I got exp for healing myself in combat but im a master carbineer as well as master doc

And with armour had same problem but you can refit your exsisting comp armour to any type (some kind soul taught me that yesterday in game now i have full armour again)but only the once per peice and it gives you the choice between all types.

Hope this helps

There are some GCW healing rules.
You cannot help your enemy or somebody who is more open to attack than you are. This means:

- Civilians can only heal civilians or people "on leave".
- Combatants can only heal same-faction combatants, civilians or people "on leave".
- Special Forces can heal same-faction special forces, same-faction combatants, civilians and people "on leave".

So if you are going on a group hunt with mixed factions or if youre a civilian, it would be wise for everybody to go "on leave" up front, or they cant receive your heals.
