Thread: Buffing overt / tef'd / declared SF / combatants

Doesn't seem to work, whether they are SF, regular combatants, etc
My doc is master doc / master medic with no faction
He get's 'invalid target' when using buffs:
Adv Nutrient Injection
Improv Serotonin
Improv Adrenaline
Improv Endorphine
Improv Poison
Improv Disease
Not sure but is this /bug?
Previously could buff most people, whether reb, Imp or neutral....?
Have /bug'd to SOE just in case
Also droid seems to add 5 mins to buff duration
But my hospital doesn't, nor city Med facility nor +25 clothes
And enhancers (any) don't work
Buff is 10% flat rate

Buff adds around 4 minutes, thats 10% of 40 minutes. And buffing now seems to use the healing rules, so no healing of opposing combatant and SFs, no same-faction SFs if youre not SF yourself and no combatants if youre only civilian or on leave.

Something else to mention: Bivoli or Enhancer (dont remember which, tested them both) seems to add 5 min to buff duration too, making it 45 min without droid (droid not tested yet)

OOOOOoooooooo... 4 5 minutes... that'll give you enought time to get where you need to go and try to find a group and by time everyone get a wp they wear off....that extra 5 minutes really help! Thank SOE

You are not supposed to get your buff and find a group afterwards. In an ideal dev's world, every group would have a doc who would buff group members on the fly while going to every lair with the group. The doc has to, since he has to heal people _that are in combat_ to get any xp. But then again, if there is a doc constantly available for re-buffs, why would you need extra duration?
I heard rumors of the devs working on power increase also, though.

I totally agree. In this perfect dev's world with doc in every group30% short-term buffs are way more desirable (and where are they, btw?). So yeah, they should work on giving us better-powered buffs, with such durations 5-10 min increase is really a joke. And as you pointed out, it conflicts with the entire concept of "Combat Doctor". Ah, I should stop here before I start saying you all know what

Ty for info!
Instead of 'invalid target' which is indecipherable, would
be nice if it said something useful like 'Unable to affect
target owing to Faction rules' or something
Right now it's not informative enough
Yes it would be nice if we could buff as long as the
ents can, docs tend to work with them a lot
But it would be nice to get even basic stuff working
with doc again, like clothes, Med facility cities, the
enhancers (meds) etc, etc..
