I have decided to change my template so I need some advice. I want to go Doctor for the heals and stat buffs so I am thinking of going Master Doctor and Master Pistoleer which would leave me with 18 skill credits. Should I spend them on Ranged Support Specialist or Surveying 1? (For placing harvesters) Or should I just find a resource supplier? Or do any of you think a different skill combination would be better? Thank you for your suggestions.

You might want to check your math, every time i work out master doc + master combat skill i only have two points left.

to be a master pistoleer you need all the ranged support stuff in the marksman skill line.

I have used two different character builders and I still get 18 skill credits left after Master Doctor and Master Pistoleer. Ranged Support Specialist is not a requirement for Pistoleer.

Aah, you got me there...ive always included ranged support specialist, as it seemed like a good idea. If you're serious about doc and dont have a survey-ready friend to follow you around to Lok and Dantoonie, you should go for novice artisen. Resources are a big part of what we do, and being able to get them on your own will reduce your costs by a factor of five.

But even if you have NO artisan skills you can still use a survey tool cant you? You would just not have the range right? Lil help here please..

nope. No artisan = no surveying.
Oh, and if you ever get survey 4, never ever surrender it down to novice artisan. Its way too painful.
