Thread: Temporary Fix for Factories that won't produce works for me, at least.

Luckily the factory issue is being fixed (supposedly) in this mornings patch.

FYI - Manufacturing schematics have a limit of 1000, the game will not allow you to enter anything higher.

The limit is supposed to be 100.

Making a schematic with more than 100 is a bug and could conceivably be considered an exploit.

I think there should be an increased limit for subcomponents than for final products, or speed up how long factories take to produce things.

If you have a factory that is broken and won't produce items, you have to redeed it.

Rules after redeeding:

1. Do not let schematics finish production. If a factory finishes a schematic, it breaks and you have to redeed it again. Factories also have a production "cap" of 150 items, then it stops and you have to restart it again.

2. Do not pull out crates that are currently being produced. This will break the factory and you will have to redeed it.

Example:

Make a schematic with 2000 uses. Throw in materials for more than 150 items, let it run. You may or may not be informed at the 150 mark...either way it will stop there. At this point, you can restart your factory or use another schematic. This schematic follows the same procedure as the previous one.

So far this has been working for me...I didn't even know there was a factory bug until yesterday when someone told me about it, hee =)

I get 2 full crates everytime I make a subcomponent or an A pack.

Well the game allows you to make a schematic of more than 100 uses...why would this be an exploit?

Then why is it you can enter the number 1000 ok but if you enter 10000 you get a message that you can't make a schematic over 1000? That is not an exploit - devs have been made aware of it all over these boards and they have not commented or taken any action. If it were an exploit it would have been changed already.

I doubt they will do anything on this issue ... because it's not an issue. Their (Raph's) philosophy is to NOT make any changes unless what is going on is unfair or unbalancing. Every crafter in the game being able to make 1000 items instead of 100 from one schematic is not unfair or unbalancing to anyone.

If I set the schematic to 100 I never get 2 full crates. I set it to 1000 and my factory will stop every time with 2 full crates. So if setting them to 1000 is an exploit to just get 2 full crates that is crap.
