Thread: Rifle or Pike with Doc
Probably Pike...
Especially since they decided to be really cheesy with Pikes and give them a 60m "PoisonsPike" with Elemental Damage.
How ridiculous is that?
I'm a master rifleman and master doc, soon as I shoot something or even heal, they all draw a straight line towards me. Which is fine since I can heal myself, I would definately not call it safer since the way the CU operates. The nice thing about rifleman is when you reach master rifleman and have even Novice doc with adrenaline boost you can shoot your rifle that much faster. As a rifleman I can hunt CL 80, go under cover and fire 4 conceal shot and one snipershot or 4 conceal shot, 1 startle or knee shot then snipershot and that usually will kill the target before it reaches me. Sometimes i get lucky and can fire 5 conceal shots and the target is dead before it can even discover me. Rifleman is fun if you have patience and like to attack from distance. If that's not your style of playing then I would not recommend rifleman. Hope this helps.

I love Dr. Pikeman. Solves the whole "healling makes stuff aggro" and "tanks can't hold aggro" problems in one fell swoop. Just make sure you got someone backing you up heal-wise.

-Bob is Robii D'LuminatiiIt's actually quite rare and only looted off of N-K "Necrosis." Not just any piker can get their hands on one of these. A bit ridiculous yes...but most rare weapons are.In today's patch, they've been nerfed down to 5m range. BTW, it's "Poison Spike."

It's a Rage Of the Wookiees Quest item.... It's so lame. Why the hell are they giving people a PIKE with about the same range as a Rifle!?!

Yeah I saw that. I only read it the way people have been writing it. I thought it was odd. Then I saw the patch notes and realized someone was writing it wrong.
But still, you have to admit, the fact that it even emerged with that kind of range was kind of gamebreaking. Not that it was impossible to fight. I beat someone with one, it's just... that was... wow.
Not not impossible. I mean, I sucked it up and dealt with it. It's still possible to win fights against someone with that pike. It's just annoying.
Glad it was fixed, though.

Glad it was fixed, though.
The ones that drop now have been fixed. The ones that dropped with 60m range still have it.
