Thread: We need more defenses!!!

If Docs are expected to use our state stim packs, poison and disease heal packs and our Stim E's in PvP, we need some defenses to compensate for the TEFs we get and the people who are (smart tactic however) targeting docs. Some will argue that since we have spent no combat xp to master our profession that we should not get defenses. I would argue that if this is the case, the state packs are useless because as soon as you use them in PvP, you would be killed by the same attack that your ally had been incapped with and that it does take 140 skill points to master (sorry forgot exact numbers). Possibly +25 ranged, +25 melee, +25 from dizzy and +50 poison and disease immunity (no such thing but...).

Even if you get Master Doctor you'll still have enough skill points to master a combat profession. Or even just get part of one. Doctor is not a class, you're not restricted to doctor abilities.

Master Doc + master combat profession

Were fine - as the devs were gracious enough to leave us points left over.

That said maybe skill enhancments are in the future eh Asherons call worked the same way

Buff stats- stats can increase skills too- but then lay on the skill buffs!

No actually I can't, I dropped Master Teras Kasi for Master swordsman, and am only 1/1/3/3 in it so far

If you haven't noticed, spamming eyeshot and the dizzy/kd combo cuts right through buffs and since 3/4 of the PvPers use these methods, its stupid to think you are safe with just health and action buffs.

Ok maybe the defense was a bit much but we need at least some kind of poison and disease immunity since a doctor know all about them and would know how to make an antibiotic.

The Doctors weakest link are the mind stat pools. It doesn't matter how much you buff you're not going to get away from the fearsome eyeshot and mind poison. Drag helps, but the doctor is constantly exposed to fire. While we may not deserve any ranged or meleecombat type defenses outright I am definately in favor of state change and DOT resists. Resists against poisons, KD, dizzy, blind, stun, bleed, etc need to be incorporated into a doctor outright. Our Mind is already going to be engaged in medical operations in the field so why torture us completely by making us use "after-the-fact" cures on ourselves further using up our precious mind reserves that are being chopped away at durring battle anyway? If it's not possible to get reists for everything at least give us resists that protect our minds (poison, bleed, eyeshot)!

Resists! Resists! Resists!

Migrate stats to mind. There's no reason for a a doc that can buff 2.5k to their own health and action stats to have much there. Use mind food. Bivilo and Fishnak taken together add another 1-2k to the mind pool. Use moun gold when you get in trouble.

The mind pool becomes the last target they should be attacking...but the one they do anyway.

I've done the mind migrate thing. It's still a pain in the heat of combat. Not to mention the problem of buffs wearing off at the worst possible moment leaving you weaker than a baby gnort with a larger than normal brain.

Muon is baaaaad! Unless you like puking every 10 or so minutesand havinganegative mindpool as a result(hello incap). Ryshcate and Fishak are a good combo though. I'm not big on drug addiction in game where my life depends on the next timely hit in order to offset a stat pool that can't be healed and yet is attack spammed by everyone with the ability.

I don't hit the moun until my mind is almost down. It really pisses someone off to see someone's mind jump 1k right before they incap you.

Moun is BAddd. USe only in emergencies.

Spot the non-Zabraks

Zabraks are migratable to base 1k mind, 900 willpower, 500 focus. With mind food/drink and a dancer buff you can go to more than 2500 mind. Add some Muon for that dangerous 10-min boost of 500/500/500.

And with doctor buffs on health and action, you can hit the hourly zabrak racial ability /equilibrium for a FULL MIND HEAL if your mind gets low.
