Step 1) Buy / harvest a load of materials

Step 2) Make a load of meds (Stim A / B etc)

Step 3) Join a hunting party (possably with another medic so you can get trained as you go)

OR

Group up with a brawler, and heal while he tanks

Step 4) Heal everyone who is hurt

Step 5) Advance in medic

Once you get Org Chem 2 (I think) where you get stim B's. its pritty easy, just keep healing people all the time. Doctor is pritty similar, once you get Stim D's (master medic) you can easily heal anyone to almost full health.

Just watch out for the crafting

bah

get Health Wound Pack B's with 170 power (med use 5 baby!)

light up a graul

heal it.

30k experience per 10k ham wounds. (around that)

wash rinse repeat

get 22k tat fibreplast (18k for doc 4k for medic)
get 22k lokain wheat (18k for doc, 4k for medic)

(I think it only takes 4k to do medic, it may be a little more or a lot less, it's been so long since I've done it.)

look for the doc grinding macro somewhere on this forum, it works for grinding through Medic as well.

click for 4 hours.

You can even macro it so you're healing burned grauls while clicking on meds.

you can go from novice medic to master doctor in a day, but its really really really really really really boring.

I suggest listening to loud music or watching TV while you're promoting carpal tunnel in your hand.

get 6 food/chem tools and use the macro for crafting. LOTS of general resources for medic crafting and craft for a few hours.

Don't bother to heal pets as they took out exp for that. You'd just be wasting your time. That was a huge plus when we could do that but we can't anymore.

What I did is just go out with nOObs or a nOOb as they were starting out as a relatively new character....and I healed them as they fought. I got wicked exp and fast. So make sure you go to more newbie type planets when you do start to heal as a nOOb yourself. Don't sit around in a med centre waiting to heal others as you will be there forever. You can do it once in a while, just don't as your main way to get exp. Oh....and when you can start buffing others as you get better....do that. You get wicked exp as well. Enhance D's....one buff, can give you 1k of experience easily. Just a thought. It's expensive, and I would only do that for friends or <wink> paying customers.

As for your medicine crafting, I would buy/use really bad resources (don't waste good ones) and craft Chemical Release Mechanisms in practise mode. Make sure you're not around a crafting machine when you do this or it then automatically creates the pop-up experimentation window. If not near a crafting machine you will eliminate that window and craft even faster. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I'm working on Doctor too. But not because my holocron told me to (I didn't even get one because my character is only 2 and 1/2 weeks old ). But I do know a thing or two about Doc because my other character on Naritus is a Doctor. Healing large wounds gives great xp too. Like someone said, good woundpacks that can heal over 150 and find people with lots of wounds. I've been getting close to 500 xp a pop healing wounds. But unfortunately it's kinda hard sometimes to find people with wounds. But definitely get some good stimpack B's with power of 350 or more and heal like crazy. I've been getting over 200 xp healing with stimpack B's. Go on hunting parties and resist shooting stuff and just heal everyone. And heal wounds when in camp.

My personal favorite is ninja healing. Get a medical droid and walk around healing peoples wounds at starports or busy places where lots of people with wounds frequent (Theed and Coronet starports are great). That can be very lucrative for xp.

Good luck.

Step 1: Get Master Doctor.

Healing damage (HAM) on pets = no exp

Healing WOUNDS (Str, stam, con, qui) on pets = good exp

Healing wounds is your fastest way to get exp since it gives you 3 exp points per point healed whereas healing damage only yields 1 point exp per 4 points healed.

Legitimate ways to earn exp is using stimpacks in a busy cantina, asking to buff anyone and everyone when you make Doc, doing the 'hospital grind' and healing wounds in a med center.

Grey/shady ways to earn exp are healing someone while they tumble, having a commando set something on fire (another player or pet) and healing the wounds, getting a Combat Medic to disease a player or pet to heal, buffing a non-ch pet/store it/call it/rebuff it..

Med crafting was always the pain.. get LOTS of organics/inorganics and make CRDMs until you can make the Advanced Med componant that takes Lok Wheat and Tat Fiber (Advanced BECs I think) and crank them
out--but beware, unless you can harvest your own Fiber and Wheat you can expect to pay a decent premium for them (Usually 4-10 CPU).

Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??

I got the Doctor holo too. I have not mastered any professions before this and now I have to master two in order to complete 1 holo? What gives? I hate the medic tree, but I hear Doctor is a good prof to have so I may keep it.

I have found that what works REALLY nice is to find someone training smuggler and have them slice a mission terminal and use stimpack b's to heal the damage. On the first night, I gained level 3 in first aid, diagose, and pharmocology in a matter of an hour, then it took me an extra hour to gather resources and grind out organic chem up to the 2nd level and halfway to the 3rd.

I really thought it was going to be tough, but everyone has been really kind in helping me out.

Do these tactics hold true for training the Doctor skills?

The Holodays celebration of late has filled cantinas with would be AFK entrtainers. You can sit there and heal people all day long. Except that Holodays has put many Medic types in these cantina's too so your luck may not be so great. Just the way I did Medic. Tonight I will go with some pals to Dath and kill stuff. Should be more fun and more effective.
