Decided to play with some numbers to see what it will take to get the fs experimentation line using doc crafting (only crafting I'm familiar with):
fs crafting xp boxes:
- Novice: 50k
- 1st box: 175k
- 2nd box: 250k
- 3rd box: 350k
- 4th box: 450k
- Total: 1.275 mil.
doc crafting xp equivalent (5:1)
- Novice: 250k
- 1st box: 875k
- 2nd box: 1.25 mil
- 3rd box: 1.75 mil
- 4th box: 2.25 mil
- Total: 6.375 mil
Lok wild wheat quantities (same amount for Tatooine fiberplast) - amounts adjusted to allow for 10% assembly crit. fail.
- Novice: 58,928
- 1st box: 206,250
- 2nd box: 294,642
- 3rd box: 412,500
- 4th box: 530,357
- Total: 1,502,677
I've been able to make a crafting macro, using 5 food/chem crafting tools, that does an ABEC every 9 seconds. If you had all the resouces with you and stationed yourself at the village macro crafting. Here's the hours of game time.
- Novice: 7.44 hrs
- 1st box: 26.04 hrs
- 2nd box: 37.20 hrs
- 3rd box: 52.08 hrs
- 4th box: 66.96 hrs
- Total: 189.72 hrs
Lets say one plays the game 4 hours each day, 7 days a week, it would take them48 days (rounded up) to complete the task.
I think I'm going to drop doc for a while andbecome anarchitect ![]()

Yea, im currently considering maybe i should drop doc for awhile myself, I don't think the crafting line got thought out as well as the other classes. Its kinda of messed up, the ratio of xp for Weapon Combat - Crafting might be right and proper, or whatever (i.e. 30-1 5-1) but when your out fighting you also get combat xp, which has a 3-1 ratio, allowing the fighting class to progress 2x faster than a crafter...which is kinda of messed up, cause it should be the other way around. Fighting class progresses 2x faster, with much more enjoyment in playing the game as well as being able to make great money and solid loot, while the crafting is going to take 2x longer, with a strong emphasis on bored insanity and a huge chunk into your pocket book. Resources aren't easy to come by after all. (unless you have an army of harvestors that you use to horde for yourself, but even than they are harder to come buy, and cost alot to maintain and take alot of time planet hopping to maintain)
Not only all that, but with the amount of resources needed to master the FS crafting line, resource community is going to be rather dry and i for see a lack on much needed stock on crafted items in vendors. There should at least be an increase in harvesting rates and decrease in maintence or something, as each player is going to neeed AT LEAST over 1 million of each of 2 types of resources. With 10 harvestors out i dont even farm up a million resources in a week for myself alone. Anyways this is my outlook on the current situation.
Id rather be holo grining 32 professions just to master the crafting line ALONE, rather than doing this.

I really wanted the crafting assembly line in phase 1 but simply couldn't force myself to take it since the crafting xp grind would be unbearable. Now there will always be a powergamer out there saying, I finished my whole branch in 1 day, but the new grind is supposed to be completed as players actually play the game. I doubt any crafter would be normally chugging through millions of resources just to gain xp. Ok course, some will also say well, crafters can just sit in the village and craft and turn in their xp, true, but who would you rather be..the crafter sitting in a dark corner spending tons of credits to grind through millions of resources, or a combat type actually having fun while gaining xp (at a much faster rate mind you). The senses and crafting xp in this new system needs to be brought in-line with the reflexes and combat. An even simpler method would be to allow any xp to convert to any type of FS xp, that way everyone has a fair shot at making jedi in a reasonable amount of time, using xp they actually enjoy

You also have to take a time out from the perspective of just doing the FS Crafting mastery to enhance your crafting skills and think "Is it worth it"
Honestly is FS Crafting really worth the strain of the insane amount of resources and creds to just simply enhancer your crafting skills. I mean, millions of resources used, just to get a little bit better of a chance for Amazing Success ?!?!? Lets face it, it isn't worth it, not the slightest bit, and every crafter will think so as well. Thats the reason why I wanted it for my doctor, I wanted a better chance for amazing success on my buffs and stims I craft with my doctor, but grinding out a couple hundred thousand Advanced Biological Controllers just is not worth it.

You should all remember, the Devs don't care. They just never thought of this, none of them has ever played a Doctor, and even if they do, they never actually worked up the XP.
My advice, if you really want these lines, do Artisan, then grind back up to doc. But with Gungan Heads, it will cost you, you needaround 17 million Ore, and around 8.5 million Gemstone.
Just play the game. Crafters got hosed again, we are not wanted to exceed, they tried to throw us a bone to shut us up. My TK can work up a full tree XP in about 3-4 days of casual playing, try crafting that.

Hehe, here is the breakdown if you want to buff your way to all 4 boxes in Heightened Senses:
1,225,000 FS XP per tree, which equates to 12,250,000 Medical XP needed per tree, and 49,000,000 Medical XP needed overall.
I gain about 7,000 Medical XP per buff. So, I will need to buff approximately 7,000 people to gain enough FS xp to complete all four lines in the Heightened Senses box, using up approximately 250 buff packs.
As Medical XP caps at 80,000, you have to run to Dathomir to exchange Medical XP into FS XP.
I average about a minute and a half per buff, and roughly 30 minutes of travel to and from Dathomir.
To buff 7,000 people, alotting 30 minutes travel time to and from Dathomir after every 11 buffs, will require approximately 478 hours.
This is of course using my decent 2300+ buffs, and assuming you can find 7,000 people to buff. If I were to use lower quality buffs, these numbers would go up.
udder comedy.

This is so humorous, in fact, I have posted it in a few places
