Thread: Bad Havla is not the cause of the heal bug

Today's publish says that "Bad Havla" is the cause of doctor's not being able to heal. This is wrong, because I NEVER USE HAVLA.

Last night, I spammed /healdamage self over and over until I was dead. I went back to my system message log and it said "You have not state you can heal". Stimpacks were in my inventory.

This problem is not consistent, but does happen daily. "Bad Havla" is not the problem.

I keep getting a message that you do not have the ability to use heal action when I hit my fix all macro. The state cures work fine, the poison peice is fine, the fire blanket portion gives the standard error (your not burning) but the heal bit has been giving me a message saying I don't have the ability to use it.

The command I was using was /heal; and it work fine until recently. I changed it to /heal damage; and got the same message. Lucky for me when I hit my heal all macro it starts with a clear combat queue so I run it then hit a stim on my taskbar. it's keeping me alive but it would be nice to get working again.

I haven't used havla for months and stims do work (as does buffing) just not the command /heal......

Is this part of the plan to take afk tumbler healers out of the game?

Good to see that im not the only one. I went to go farm Nightsisters last night and when I tried to pop heals I got "you must wait before you can use this." I could buff but as soon as i hit combat I couldn't heal. got me killed more than once......

Yep, /heal is not working for me either.

I get a message that says, "You do not have the ability to use healdamage I" or something like that. But, I'ma Master Doctor.

This is BEYOND ludricrous.

Someone wire SOE some cash so that they can buy some brains and TEST their code before they screw all of our games up. I'm sick of being a gimped non-functional Doctor in some way or another. This is STUPID.

I'd also like to personally thank SOE for the Starsider rollback Sunday night - my friend lost a skill box he'd trained, and about 125,000 Rifles xp. Keep those quality patches coming out guys, LOOKIN GOOD, LOOKIN REALLY GOOD....

I wish they'd stop relying on paying customers to do their testing for them, and instead at least have the CODERS do the TESTING like the rest of the world does.

I have zero patience left for this. And if they tell us it'll be fixed next Tuesday, they can lick me.

does anyone know what can be used instead of:

/heal;

or

/heal damage;

?

Neither of those will actually heal... I think maybe going all glowy may have caused the problem because the error I get back is you do not have the ability to heal action. I do have stims in my inventory. Sounds like a force healing ability to me. Maybe I'll add a toolbarslot command to the macro so it hits the stim.

I've always used '/heald' short for '/healdamage'

it was working fine for me last night....of course i dont have any doc anymore, dont know if that would have anything to do with it or not

I'll give it a shot. I think I put a space between the heal and the damage. I'll stick them together to see if that fixes it.

thanks

Yeah, /healdamage self should work, since I believe the jedi ability to heal themselves is what the commands you guys are trying is referring to. And as you aren't jedi, the game thinks you can't hel, unless you type out the whole command....

Slow down there, sparky. Take a second, breathe deep. Now then, here's the scoop.

There are other profs out there with /heal commands now, so you have to specify which /heal command you want to use.

When you type /heal, you get a message stating that you have insufficient ability to heal action self. Why is that? Because that's a Jedi ability. And, if you're not a jedi with that ability, you can't use it.

The reason it defaults to that is simple, alphabetical order. Typing /heal will go to the first ability, alphabetically, which turns out to be...you guessed it, /healactionself.

All you have to do is change the macro to say /healdamage or simply /heald. That WILL work.
