I'm 0/4/3/3 in doctor right now, and quite frankly, it's driving me nuts. I had to surrender a lot of my scout skills to get artisan to survey for the resources needed for most of my meds. However, now that I can craft higher level meds, it's getting quite annoying to have to deal with all the resource/component requirements for them. I'm also a master swordsman, so I went doctor (dropped CH) to buff myself. However, I'm getting the feeling that maybe doctor, or crafting in general, isn't for me. Any tips to ease the pain?

To ease my pain I just dropped a second factory and started makingcrates of Dizzy, Enhance Packs, Cure Poison/Diseise, and Wound Packs. Even with two factories running 24x7 for 4 days I'm still not even close do being done.
1000 Chem Release; 600 Adv Bio; 1000SDS; 400 AdvChem Release; 1000 Liq Suspension Blech
As for harvesting, I usually only harvest from one planet at a time. If Talus water is over 900+ I'll check everyother resource available then drop all my harvesters but 1 or 2.
I've never had a house and don't plan on it. Factories RULE for storage...

Well...I can suggest you go create another character on another server and become a weaponsmith or armorsmith. The grinding will kill you and the specialized resource requirements will make you pass out. It will make Doctor look like a walk in the park. You really only need 6 special components for Doctor that I've seen so far...but there may be more later. I can suggest to you hiring someone to scout spots for you. Find a surveyor, offer them so much money to go around scouting each planet for what you need. They find you the spots and you place on them. You don't have to keep artisan, it's just easier. And if you invest in some mediums you'll have enough of the stuff you need to last you a couple weeks. Good luck.
