What animal gives the best herb meat for making stims? Any planet... what is the highest quality?

there is no standard.

no animal will always give the best meat, no planet, no galaxy

the stats on meat change just like every other resource, so the only way to find good ones is to go to each planet, kill a herb with easy HAM and on to the next. The farm the herbivores on the planet with the best stats at the time. (this is what i do)

a hint, the harder planets "USUALLY" have the better stats

Idon't think the harder planets have the better stats but on some hard planets the stuff is easier to gather in quantities( for example getting herbivore meat on dantoine is very easy if you join a group as half of the hard npcs are herbivores...)

Actually I found some (not all) of the flora to have much higher qualities than the meat for making/experimenting on meds. I didn't know this till about 1 month into my doc career but jeez, it made a huge difference in the quality of my meds and had the added benefit of providing enough resources for my food/chem factory. Once I found this little secret out....I quit harvesting meat all together.

I guess you are not making advanced chemicals then as those need herb meat.

Yep Sullust187 you are correct. I'm not making advanced components because I found the time vs. payback was just not worth it. I was using D stimpacks and C medpacks with only advanced liquid suspension componenets and I was able to heal very quickly. Usually my D stims will heal just over 1k in damage per click and with many players having only 900 ham this was more than adequate when in the heat of battle. How do I know itwill heal over 1k damage? cuz I would heal pets too and it was averaging between 950-1200in damage healing.

As for C level medpacks, IMO there was really no reason to advance beyond these. Wound heals occur outside the heat of battle so having D or E level med packs was not as critical as having the D stims. After the only difference between C level med packs and D or Es are the time it takes you to get THE PATIENT back to the action. For me, I simply made a decision to make factory crates of A andBlevel med packs and heal with those. I would hand create 2 sets of C level medpacks for the badly injured but even these were substantial (max wound heal was 365 per click....average was somewhere in the range of 150-250).

When I looked at the time to harvest the higher components vs. the payback, I just lost interest in the higher meds....but that's just me.

I wish my server had reliable rangers and scouts.......Adv. components are way worth it. Esp if you're healing buffed players and large pets. I wouldn't replace healing 3K a pop for the world.

The best Herb meat I have found is on Dantooine from Pikets, I don't know what else drops it, it has 800+ OQ and PE. Hope that helps.

All that means is that on Kettemoor server at this time,Dantooine hasgood-quality meat. Next weekyour pikets'meat could be bad if the resources shift. The week after that it could be worse, could be better. And that's only Kettemoor server -- on other servers it will be different at any given time. That's why there is no solid answer to the original question.
