hehe....all resources shift.....and its for a good reason. Sorry, but you can't keep track of stuff, unless it suddenly shift while your hunting. Its just part of the game. Its a tricky tricky deal, but hey....I think it makes the game rather fun. Looking for the best resources on your planet. 
But there is a website to use. Sometimes its a little slow, but it helps me out a lot.

Take a look at it, I think it will help you out in the long run. As long as people like me and you keep it updated, it will be much easier to track resources.
Yes SWGcraft.com has been a godsend for me. Now instead of going to someplace like Dantooine and having to survey for everything, I can now skip over a lot of stuff. Or better yet, I can look for my key resources and see where they might have popped up.
As long as we all do our little part updating out of date info, the site works like a charm.
