Thread: What sub-compenents *should* be used for Stims

Hi all,

Let me start by saying that I find this forum very helpful for new players so thanks.

I'm a new Master Doctor and am enjoying it. I'm now wanting to start selling Medical supplies through my vendors and am getting confused on what is *needed* and what is considered overkill when using the subcompenents.

Example: When making stimpacks B & C, do you all use the Advanced compenents? - i.e., Advanced BEC, Advanced LS, Advanced CR - or do you just use Advanced BEC for more charges.

I'd like to know if it's considered 'standard' that the advanced compenents are used for everything from wound packs to stims, etc. or do many of you mix and match.

Thanks and I apologize if my message is little un-focused - was having trouble figuring out how to explain it.

I say if you have the meat and the class 4 then do it all. As a doc I want to make the best I can. The only reason I don't use ACRDM's in everything is because I don't have much herb meat and class 4 isn't always around. The other stuff is always available (there is always tat fiber for instance, it just may not be that good)

I agree.

The worst Advanced components make better stims than the BEST non advanced, and when you rely on these for your life, as so many do, one point of power or one charge can be what saves you... and the probability goes up that it will save you the better your stims are.

Use an ABEC and an ALS for sure. An ACRDM helps a lot, but it all depends on the abundance of Herbivore Meat and Class 4 Liquid Petrofuel.

well a LS is about : 46 power average (from my experiements)

an ADVANCED LS: 139 power average (from my experiments)

the BEC is about : 4-6 Charges/3-6 Power(based from me)

the ABEC is about: 16 Charges/15 Power(based from me)

the CRM is about 15 power (compare that to 46)

the ACRM is about 40-60 power (compare that to 139)

so use this for the stimpack:

high oq and pe organic

high oq and pe inorganic (or chemical..if making more advanced stimpacks)

the ABEC/BEC for the amount of USES (this is its sole purpose CHARGES)

the LS/ALS for the strength in which it will HEAL (this being the power)

the CRM is just for advanced power, throw it in if you want, but it wont make a LOT of difference, if you are going for the best stimpacks ever, then use it and brag all you want, but i save ACRMS for buffpacks, for stimpacks i just use a regular CRM

ALWAYS USE An ALS AND AN ABEC for good stimpacks (unless you need to whip one up fast)

glad to help

you're on a different server, the talus vapor and the dantooine berries are hard to find good enough for that power, as for stim b's, why make em when you can use e's

Because you can sell B's to anyone with Medic (0000). And you can sell Stim C's to anyone with Medic (0030) if you experiment one point in Ease of Use. Personally, I only make Stim C's for myself, because it doesn't require multiple components. In fact I only make Wound C's for the same reason. I go through so many aBECs just making enhance packs, I can live with my 800 power Stim C for healing. One of these days if I ever get ahead on components, I might make Stim/Wound E's, but for now I'm happy with C's and an abundance of components. (Okay not really, I'm still always out of aBECs.)
