Thread: Medicine XP? How'd you fill up the trees?

Alright, we all know that its simply a grind to get up Med Crafting. How did you go about getting your other trees though?

1) Tumbler: Got someone (or some people) to tumble for you while you healed them quickly.
2) Joined groups and healed the members.
3) Hung around med center, healing the public tumblers and/or anyone with wounds that came in.
4) Other (Specify)

I've used 1, found it boring, but got me through medic and 1st box of all 3. Then I started joining groups. Slower XP, but +creds rather then -creds. And you meet people... And theres the chance you'll meet cool people.

With number 3 I found its best. Just wait until the inevitable happens and you hit pay dirt. Someone goes offline after getting diseased, and comes back with black bars. Guy tipped me 20k for healing just his health bar (and friendly conversation) while other people ignored his plight and healed tumblers.

On another note, I'm almost 1-4-4-0 (Doing crafting last). Do you actually get 1k XP for buffs? A guildy said that, but then went offline. If so, then is it per set of buffs (like 350 XP for each stat or whatever) or for each stat?

If its each stat, then sweet... I could buy a set of buff packs (28 charges), and then go buff people, get all my XP for Wound Treatment Speed and make some money...

Anyways, thanks for reading this .

my first character I did it the hard way. Bestine med center, getting ganked by overt rebels because I healed an overt imp. crafted with ONE CRAFTING TOOL. Old school like.

of course, with a diseased storm trooper and someone tumbling + my custom crafting macro's, I ground out doc in a little over 5.5 hours straight. From novice medic to master doc

could probably be done quicker, but not by much. (make sure you have that extra wound treatment clothing and stuff on too, it makes a big difference)

if you are 1440, you should buy some med use 90 buff pack, and buff your friends and pets - store the pet and bring it out again to rebuff it. You get half the buff amount as xp, so a 2000 point buff = 1000xp. You will get the last tree in no time!

Rezzing gives good xp too. just Db a friend over and over. (about 800xp per rez)

Tumbler is fastest, you can do novice medic to master doctor including crafting with a good macro, in around 15 or less hours.

I can say this becuase ive done it.

I did my medic exp between a tumbler and wound healing on a friends rancor pet. I was a commando at the time, so it worked out nicely.

Find an artisan friend, a niceconcentration of radioactive and a cantina nearby. Have your friend sample some radioactive for big black wounds. Heal the wounds(that you can) and repeat. Once thier mind wounds and battle fatigue get up there, (about 500 BF, it doesn't take many sample attempts), have run to the cantina and get thier mind healed.(Remember to leave the big health/action wounds though, you'll get these healed up quick for big exp w/ no BF). Rinse and repeat.

I found using this method, and decent wound -C paks I can get upwards of 1k med exp per wound treatment. Its alot faster than you think, and you haveyour friend for company.

If you happen to want to tackle combat medic and doctor at the same time, go master cm first, get a some good poison area packs, a good buff, hit a low level hive so tons of little critters are attacking you, then keep hitting all the little creatures over and over with area attacks. YOu'll make doctor 4440 in about3 hours. Seriously! I spent more time running to the trainer, then getting xp.

Do you count entertainers as tumblers?

If the entertainer uses the /startdance, /flourish (4 times), /stopdance, loop with no pause, they can drain their action bar far faster than a person using /tumble.

what he said.

Go sweet talk the local cantina hunnies, get their action buffed, buy a crate of stim Es and have them flourish spam.

I went back up from master medic -> doc 4000 in 20 minutes.

First time i went doc, i wasn't in a rush, and did most of my XP leading newbie rancor groups. I met a lot of people, and had lots of fun protecting people (was TKM at the same time). They'd tap the lair so theres a load of ranc runnign about... then they'd all get killed... i'd slay the rancs, and rez them all for mega xp.

Of course, sometimes i accidentally tapped the lair a little bit too much myself

I originally made all my medic xp the 'real' way. Grouping, med center, camps, pets (before nerfage). But then I had to drop most ofmy medic skills to make room for other profs. Now, some 8 months later, I want to be a medic again. So, unfortunately, I'm grinding it witha fellow tumbler friend. :-\ But since i did it hardcore the first time, I think I'm allowed to grind it the second.
