Does the following macro still work?
/stand;
/healstate self;
/healstate self?
When you are KD/Dizzy'd?
I just made Master Doc last week and tried this macro out in a TKM duel and found it to be wholly ineffective. Has anyone else had a different experience lately? I was in the Coro starport so I assume there was sufficient lag present. Your help would be much appreciated.

Yes it still works, BUT.... technically it shouldn't work at all. What makes it work is "lag".

This is a debatable issue. Some feel that the posture change check doesn’t take place until after the /healstate has been completed, due to lag. Others feel that you should have a chance to stand even if you are dizzy. So, long as you don’t spam /stand. In my opinion, I feel thatanyone should have a chance to stand up, so long asthey do it carefully (hence don’t spam /stand). It will still take you out of the fight for a moment and it might not work.

So from what I"m reading you bypass the state check and go straight to the heal before it kicks in thus erasing the state before it checks? Am I reading this correctly? If so that's quite interesting...

well I know from doing it that you can stand even if you are dizzy. when I was only tka I could stand while dizzy and get in a few hits before I got knocked down agen, and for a tka that is usualy enough. gota love 234 damege sliced powered up VKs.

Correct. Some believe that lag causes the system to heal the state before it has checked to see if the state exists when making a posture change. I don't know how the system is intended to work, but I do feel that this is what causes the "/stand; /healstate dizzy" to work.

Thanks for the answers all. I found out that my problem was indeed a lack of lag. Once I started spamming the macro it worked just fine. I guess spamming a macro in combat is sufficient enough lag to make the healstate fire.
I didn't realize at first that this was unintended functionality, do you consider this an exploit? Do any of you feel this is unethical to use during combat? Why or Why not?
Thanks again

I don't see how it's an exploit to try and stand up and then try to heal a state. Maybe I am naive, but I don't get it. It's one of the boons of being a doctor.
I /stand and wait and /stand again and wait. I have found (and have been told) that hitting /stand twice before the first /stand cues up will make you fall down again, so I try to be patient, and as soon as my character wobbles to her feet, I fire off a heal state. Sometimes you are lucky enough to be standing long enough to heal that state. I don't see how that is an exploit.

The reason I ask about it being an exploit is because in order for it to work for me, I need to spam the stand macro in order to generate the necessary lag. I usually am on my feet again in about 3 seconds. As a TKM/Doc I am much better off against KD/Dizzy than I was as a defensive stacked TKM with +125 Def vs KD. I don't think that Doc was ever intended to be a better defensive support class than fencer/pistoleer, not that I am complaining. I'm just trying to gauge the feelings of the group.
I really appreciate the input, it's very helpfull.
