I am a new doc and want to craft my own buffs, etc. My question is, what is the best way to use experimentation points in both advanced components and buffs? Please help me out.

Experiment on charges for the ABECS, power for all the other components. On the final combine, experiment on the power first, then the charges. If the resources aren't that good, you may need to experiment on med use first.

Leeeeeeeeeeet's see... first off, a few definitions in case you don't know already:

ABEC = Adv. Biological Effect Controller

ACRDM = Adv. Chemical Release Duration Mechanism

ASDS = Adv. Solid Delivery Shell

ALS = Adv. Liquid Suspension

That said, here is howI experiment:

-ACRDM and ASDS are both pure power, along with the ALS [which is not used in buffs, but for poison/disease heals, stims and rez kits]. So experimentation is pretty simple here... hehe.

-ABEC... if you want more power on your buffs, experiment fully on power and use extras for charges. If you want to sell buffs, you will make alot more money on a pack if you experiment this for charges however. The amount of end-difference between a 14 power ABEC and a 26 power ABEC is quite small [don't have my spreadsheet here at work, can't tell you exactly]. The amount of difference in charges between a 20 charge ABEC and a 10 Charge ABEC is exactly 10, and for buffs... 10 charges is quite a bit.

-Buffs... if you are using them yourself [as opposed to selling the packs], go for full on effectiveness.

These are, of course, personal choices, but I feel they also represent the bulk of the Doctor community.

Hey, I'm also a new Doc and I'm curious about making buff packs...could you also shed some light on what resources are ideal for making good buffs. Which attributes of the resources should we be trying to get 900 and above? Thanks

Use this to find what resources are currently spawning. There is also a schematic database which will tell you which resources are needed for each component. Or you can look in your datapad under the schematic tab and it will tell you what resources each item needs.

experimenting on power in ABECs to be completely frank is stupid ...

I can either get28-31 charges, approx 912ish power on my enhance packs by experimenting on power or 18-22 charges and 920ish power on enhance packs .... sorry ... but I'm gonna take charges everytime ... *unless* I'm trying to break a personal record for stim b's or somthing ....

The stickied post above the forum is a very good source of Doc info.

Short answer to your question:

Powerfor ACRDM, ALS, and ASDS.

For ABEC try to get at least 20 charges then you can put the rest into power.

As has been said charges on ABEC's is the standard way to go.

My first aim for buffpacks is always that the power is at least 809 as this gives a buff for an MD of 2000 (with +25 on clothes) and it seems to me thats a psychological numberfor buffs. What I also aim for is around 30 uses, and I'd prefer to get this without using any experimentation points by maxing the charges on my ABEC's, and at most MED USE 90 as I cannot believe how fast these packs sell. My last lot of buffpacks that I sold on my vendor were

(Sorry for the colour I just copied and pasted from my last ad on the trade forum )

Med Use 90 Buffpacks

838/11016 30 uses for Action
838/11016 30 uses for Constitution
831/11016 30 uses for Health
836/11016 30 uses for Quickness
831/11016 30 uses for Stamina
831/11016 30 uses for Strength

I sold these as full sets only in Travel Packs for 72k a set. They flew off my vendor.

One other tip that a lot of doctors, who sell buffpacks, don't do (of course I'm talking about the Chimaera server) is use the same avian and reactive gas in the action as you do in the rest. People like the same duration on thier buffs.

Hats off to SOE. Not many companies could take the best MMO on the market and fu*k it up completely, that takes real skill.
