Hi,
I'm currently making & selling & using 850 base buff packs ... getting a 2309 buff for 2 hrs 50 odd minutes using +22 Bivoli & all the accesories (those buffs are best on my server - at least that I know of - btw).
2309 is pretty much overkill for most money missions, & also possibly a bit of a waste for PvP when you're generally mind incapped, & often rather quickly after getting buffed.
I'm thinking of producing a line of low power buff packs using my second string resources. Good duration would be really nice for this, for the long money making hunting sessions, & for entertainers, & surveying griinders.
Has anyone tried selecting ingredients (avian & reactive gas) for duration rather than OQ & PE, & with what result? I'm wondering if it's worth dumping some harvs on lo QO hi DR gas, buying up some (probably cheapish) hi DR avian.
I know the herb & P4 i.e. the Adv CRDM may be crucial in all this, want to see if I can get away with using second string stuff for that as well.
Iam.

I would make about 5-10 packs to test this although people say they care about durration they rather have power. you might want to consider making some pvp buffs with average stats for yourself and other guildies to use.

yes, it is possible...
Ive got 10 full sets of 750/11600 buffs (I think its 11600 - its certainly aroun d this number(
they give about 1900 buffs for well over 3 hours....I advertise the fact that these are PvE buffs for grinders and the like...specialising on duration and long hunting trips....
they seem to go down really well...of course you do get the 'I only buy 2400' snobs...but if they want high power buffs that last for 2.5 hours - thats up to them - the buffs Ive got will let someone grind for well over 3 hours without worry...

You can't go too low on OQ because it factors into duration too. You could skimp on PE without hurting duration though. With effectiveness and duration both experimented on the same line, it's not easy to boost only one. My server had a spawn of avian that was high in all three stats a couple months ago. Buffs of 2400 to 2500 at 3.5 hour duration became fairly common. The next 2 spawns of decent avian had low DR and most docs now only buff for 2.5 hours or so.I'm one of the server's enhance packs suppliers and I started getting special orders for longer duration packs. I had to tell them I couldn't do it because I didn't have the right avian meat.I recently made a small batch of quickness buffs for a friend to use on his dancer/doc. I was able to get 3 hour duration at just over 700 power with second rate meat and my good reactive. That's high enough for a dancer's quickness buff, but most players will want higher buffs on Health and Action.

Thanks folks, I'll give it a go I reckon, once some hi DR reactive spawns anyway. Shame the OQ comes into play, butI'll look for lo PE but otherwise good avian as well, thanks again.

There was some avian on Flurry a while back that was very high in OQ and DR but a bit low on PE. The packs came out with near 4 hr buffs but only about 750 power.
I buff myself and never have to think about it again.
I don't buff for cash much and buffies are often short sighted and only look at the power.
As a hunter doc I go for duration any time over power if I am going to be online for a long time.

I think a lot of players are more concerned with duration now rather then power. On Radient anything that is over 2k and 3 hours is in demand as a sellable buff. I find most people don't care if it is 2100 or 2500. But they care if it is 2.5 hours instead of 3 hours.

I'm able to make 930 / 3 hour 45 min buffs now, so I guess that's the best of both worlds.
For the longest time I used 730s myself, that had 4 hour duration, but that gas is long gone ![]()
