Thread: grinding the doc tree... any tips?
The sooner you can buff, the better offyou are. If you have an MD who can mentor you in the form of providing meduse 90 enhance Dbuff packs, and you can get master knowledge and advanced wound treatment (where you get the enhance skill) go for it. Enhance packs give you half the power of the buff as XP. Jeffn is still working up the CM ladder and lost a TON of XP sitting around buffing folks in the Coronet starport the other night because he quickly hit his cap. As an MD he could accumluate the max med XP you can bank. Buffing very quickly brings in a lot of XP, especially if you're using D packs. Just let the patients know they're not getting full MD buffs but a close approximation, give them a discount, and you'll have more XP and money than you know what to do with very quickly. You'll have to figure out a way to get away to train, which is far from a bad situation to find yourself in.
The other techniques you used as a medic still apply, of course. Wound healing at aproximately 2x the number of wounds healed, stimming tumblers, all flavors of entertainers, combat healing, healing a sampling artisan...all those techniques are still available to you.
For the crafting grind, it's ABECs in the practice mode all the way.
If you need healing xp, stand by the incoming passengers in Coronet and heal their wounds before they even finish loading. Lots of people limping home from the non-starter planets.
If you have pets, get them diseased, burned, or otherwise massively wounded and heal their wounds (no xp for healing damage).
Once you can make/use buffs, either make/buy good ones, or use the low ones on your pets. Buff/store/buff/store etc.
If you want to do it and have some fun at the same time, go to endor and hunt screechers in groups. Plenty of wounds to heal.
Healing damage = pts healed * 1/4 = xp
Healing wounds = pts healed * 2.5 = xp
Buffing = pts healed * 1/2 = xp
Using res packs is good xp too. If you're really hard up for xp, get someone to let you kill/rez them over and over. Some radioactives give high wounds when sampled by hand too. The mind wounds make this not too efficient for long though.
