I am debating on going master doctor on my alt, to make a bit of cash instead of missions/harvesting.

What would you say you make on average in say, 3 hours, buffing steady with no waiting for people to show up? Say you were charging 10k per set (going price on my server, which is Eclipse). I'd like to know if it's worth it or not, far making credits.=)

Thanks for the information!

Agood set of buffs with 28 useswith 10k per set will be approx 280k and take 42 minutes (takes approx 1.5minutes to do a full buff)

So 3 hours would be approx 1,176,000 credits.

hope this helps

For ecilpse those numbers are way off.

A good buff pack costs 26-28k 2575-2600 (which most docs buffs, so expect this at 10k buffs)

even thou it takes 1.5min per person. You will never get a perfect line for three hours. Plus every 15mins need to eat a piece of bivoli 2.7k per piece.

to buff 30 people: 1:10
net income: 300k
cost of packs: 156k-168K
cost of bivoli: 13.5k

profit for 1:10 : 118.5-130.5k

profit for 3:30 355.5k - 391.5k

Now that is not including, those that tip 1k, run of without tipping (can avoid this by not buffing till they tip, but that will add significant time to you buffing, Fights in line.

With the number of docs around, mostly 3-4 doctors in coronet buffing, 1:10 is not realistic average, more like 1:30

Also with force exp grinding through buffing, people on ecilpse already buffing for free in village, not sure how stable the buffing market is.

Doctor is a great proffesion but the buffing market not as lucrative as many think.

Basedon personalexperience:

16secs between each buff x 6 stats = 96secs per person. May be more depending on the level of lag in your area. Setting it too low will cost you a lot more time in checking for & rebuffing the missed stat when you get lag spikes.

Assuming that you greet customers, send farewell messages, check for payment, etc.,a pause of approximately 10secs between each person is factored in: 96 + 10 = 106secs.

Other time-consuming factors considered (droid battery recharge, consuming bivoli & monitoring the time remaining, reloading buffpacks, answering the inevitable avalanche of tells, being hassled by the occasional scammer, the fact that you aren't a machine and will slow down now and then), you can add an additional 10% - 20% in time. More if you are new topublic buffing.

Realistically, you should be able to do 30 people per hour(additional 10%) if you don't encounter too many line-stopping issues (30 x 10k = 300k/hr). More, if everything goes your way and you are a natural-born buffmonkey .

So in 3 hours, you can do 300kto 360kx 3 = 900k to 1080k.Bear in mind that the longer you buff withouta break, the more you tend to slow down so this figure is highly unlikely.Few people can buff for 3 hours straight without a break. This isnot the same as running combat missions or just about hitting macro keys.

Most packs will cost between 3.3k-6k per customer (550cr - 1000cr per charge x6 stats) and factoring in bivoli (havla is left out until the bug is resolved) & batteries, u can peg on another 300cr - 500crper customer. Approximately 3.6k - 6.5k. The costs ofa 110-rating medical droid and+25 Wound Treatment BE clothes are not factored into this equationas theydo not require constant replenishmentand the cost can be recouped over time (about 40-70k).

Final calculations: 300k - 195k to 108k = Profit of 105k to 192k per hour of buffing, if everything goes well and your droid isn't stolen, no one tries to scam you, no one parks an AV-21/Kimogila/bantha over you, etc.

If you are going into it purely for the cash that you think you'll be rolling in, you should pick up a combat profession and just do solo Janta/Mokk missions instead. You pick up many times the profit/fun/combat xpfor less costs/hassle/effort.The samebuffdocs will never do public buffing consistently for more than a couple of weeks before retiring, butyou will always see the same faces over and over on the Dantooine Mining Outpost making millions off busting BBQ pits and looting cool stuff. Ifpublic buffingwere that great, the statistics would be reversed. Do it for a coupladays as a learning experience, but in terms of profit vs effort/time, combat professions win hands down.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a bunch! That is great info. I am still strongly debating on what I`d like to do yet. Haven`t decided. But thanks!
