well..its your choice....

personally, I think your a tool....but that is "My" opinion.

Some moron was selling 2300 buffs for 3:30 hours for 25k at cnet the other night. His reasoning...because he could.

I have capped my buffs at 12k max(2400 for 3:50) sure I had a line....I also had people msg me for skips for as much as 100k....I politely turned them down saying I dont think it is fair for the people waiting in line for over 10 mins to get bumped. again my choice.

the funny thing was....I had a line of sometimes 12 ppl....never 30 like some of you say... this guy got maybe 2 or 3 buffs in an hour. I buff 1 person in 1 min and 50 secs so average that to 2 mins a person...thats 30 ppl in an hour compared to his 3...sure I used more in buffpacks...but my buffs cost me ave 5k a set(including biv and brandy)...so i make 7k a buffX30 ppl an hour 210k an hour profit.

Sure you can make more doin janta missions...but I buff public when I am sick of killing all the time....lets me relax. All my customers are very nice....they are also patient due to the halva bug. Not one complained to me....a lot even tipped me more than I asked for. Most are happy for the extra 20 mins the buff gives.

Youguys keep charging really high prices... I'll keep my steady line of polite people and buff for 210k an hour...I'mjust fine with that.

He's a moron why? .... Because you said so?

Everyone is free to price as they like. It's the customers that will sort it out and decide.

I was a Doctor for longer than most people have played this game [10 months] ... the price is what the customer will pay. I capped at 15k, but if they were willing to pay more, so be it. I've payed 50k for buffs on Sunrunner [my Doc is on Shadowfire], several times even. If it will get me buffed and good to go, so be it. Whining is pointless b/c there will always be people like me who don't see 50k as that big of a deal [5 minutes tops].

Also, in case the other docs here haven't realized it by now, when you get past 2000, the str doesn't matter unless you are PvPing. For PvE, I'll pay 50k for +1800s right now instead of 10k for +2400s in 10 min.

If you're sick of ingrates and lines, don't buff. It's that simple.

There is a doctor on my server who sells lousy buffs for inflated prices. 25k for 1900 when the going rate is 10k for 2300 to 2500. He uses the same logic, that some will pay inflated prices for not waiting in line. I buff almost every day and I've been a doctor for over a year. 90% of the time when he's buffing at the Coronet starport he's got no line, no customers and spends most of his time harassing other doctors. Prior to doctors being able to re-buff, he'd slap his lousy buffs on people standing in line for the real doctors.

So, my opinion and suggestion, if you want your customers to kiss your butt for a buff and don't want to deal with lines, tells, etc., then DON"T BUFF.

Good im glad to see that you cap at 12k, that means i could sit next to you, spam out 25k and then you will have a constant line of buffee's while i on the other hand, will have a constant line at 25k because there will always be people who dont want to sit through your line. You do that. enjoy ur 12k, which is about 5-8k profit depending on where you bought ur packs, ill enjoy my 18-20k profit.

Good on ya

in my opinion. not yours or anyone elses...Mine...

yes he is a moron...he is offering a lesser buff for more creds...that is why he didnt getany business. He did however get /addignore by me because of his spam every 5 seconds.

And you are right...the customers will sort it out and decide....

That is also why I have regulars that come to me over other docs....they know what to expect and they know I am pleasent to talk to.

They also know I dont price gouge and that I dont do line skips...

You would be suprised how much repeat business you get when the word gets out that you will turn away lineskips in favor of the people already in line.

Most customers are not happy when you let some rich guy cut in line for lot of creds. I know I am not when playing my alts.

NiViK are you

sick of ingrateful customers and line management?

no?

I believe you lost the point of this thread then. You're not sick of ingrateful customers and line management, your sick of other doctors.

more power to you zero...

that is what the free market economy is for.

However...I have yet to see anything like that happen.

Whenever I am buffing and another doc sets up shop near me....I am still busy. The plus side is that the customers have a smaller wait...but wait.,...I still have people in my line when the other doc is sitting there twiddling his thumbs.

sure some people will pay more for no line....but some people like to take a bio break...get a snack....whatever while they are waiting for 15 mins or so.I know I would rather do these things while waiting for a buff then get my buff and then waste time doing them....limiting the length of my buff.

Honestly....a lot of you guys seem to have anger issues...

I hope SOE comes out with valium soon

Who has anger issues? In your first post, you called one person a tool and another a moron.

I have one set buff price when I'm doing public buffs (which is an increasingly rare occasion) - 12k. That's for my typical 2400, 3 hour buff. I can offer than at Cnet, and my line will never go away. I hate to buff like this, however.

If someone asks for a buff while I'm clearly not buffing (wearing armor, no droid out, standing at a mission terminal, etc.), then my price is 20k for non-biv,25k for biv. I'll adjust this based on how they ask, what planet, etc. A noob on Tatooine might get a 5k or even free buff if I'm in a decent mood. A rude master swordsman on Dant will have to pony up 30k to get me to drop everything I'm doing in order to service him.

Finally, I'll offer no-wait havla buffs, 2450 for 3:30 for 30-50k. I do this at crowded areas where the lines are huge. Dant MO is probably the best place for this, as lots of the players there are smart enough to understand the math. 30 mins waiting in line to save 35k on a buff could be spent running missions earning 100k+ at 10 min per mission, plus loot and exp. No, not everyone has that earning potential, but for those that do, a quality buff with no wait is worth the credits.

My point? From 5k to 50k, each price has it's own justifications and reasons. The only real losers here are the folks who flame someone else for how they operate their business.

Bottom line, it's a free market. If you don't like the price, there are lots of other doctors. If you don't like to buff, then stop buffing and it won't bother you anymore. If you don't like to wait in lines, then pay the premium fee for no-wait buffs. If you can't afford the premium fee, then wait in line for a cheap buff.
