I accidentally found a handy way to go combatant while in group the other day. I was grouped with a combatant friend while I was on leave, and when she got in trouble and incapped (we weren't hunting, she was messing around and got an RSF commando to attack her), I dragged her to me. I got a dialog asking me if I was sure I wanted to go combatant, which was cool, so I accepted and 30 seconds later I was back in business.

The next day, I joined a group on the Ryyatt Trail where (unbeknownst to me) everyone was combatant except for two of us. I selected a healthy group member, hit drag even though he was 100% healthy, and still got the dialog and was able to go combatant.

This is a handy feature, since it's still got the warning (you won't accidentally go combatant when you don't want to), but I'm not sure if it's intentional or a bug. Thoughts?

I think it's like that so that every time you heal someone you don't get spammed with the "Switch" box...makes sense to me for it to be like that, but I would still like the box on healing. But thats just me.

I would say that it is intentional.

There is a similar "bug" with jedi healing. When a on leave jedi heals a combatant he/she will get a dialog box asking to become combatant just like what your seeing with /drag.

Personally, I think the bug is that when docs/CM/medics attempt to heal a combatant they do not get the dialog box. I would much rather have the dialog box than "invalid target" or what ever the error measage is currently.

I will ask about this in the Corr forum.
