any good help i can get would be sweet im new and dont know my way in doc yet

I'm not master yet, as the crafting line takes quite a while. But I can tell you what I learned...
Until you hit x-2-4-x in the tree, healing wounds gives your the most xp bang for the buck. While not out and about, I alternated between the coronet med center, waiting for shuttles to land in the coronet starport, and the Theed cantina (used to be busy in Valcyn) healing wounds and the occasional damage.
Once I could buff (although at x-2-4-x with +17 attachments the stats were quite low) I started buffing folks for much better xp. Be sure to warn them first and let them decide wether a discount buff with lower stats is worth it.
Now I'm 2-4-4-0 and the last two boxes will come quickly now that my buffs are much stronger.
Crafting: I read a lot of suggestions to sit and make ABECs in practice mode. I'm not really a grinder, so I'm looking at making some useful items and selling them wherever I can... bazaar, friends, friends' vendors, etc... For ABECs all you need is some Lokian wild wheat and some Tatooinian fiberplast. You'd need quite a few more resources to make stims and woundpacks. Either way, do what you like.

Best advice I can give you, and I'm truly serious here, is to read the FAQs. We have had some really great Docs and CMs who put together a LOT of information: grinding, crafting, gathering resources, how to effectively support a group, looted components, EVERYTHING.
I found many things out the hard way, but if you take the time to read the faqs, you'll progress much faster and have more knowledge than you'll know what to do with.
