Thread: Not to start going crazy too early...

... but if Doc will not be a crafting prof anymore, what the devil am I going to do with several million units of tatooine fiberplast, domesticated oats, lokian wild wheat, avian meat, herb meat, etc. post revamp? I've easily got 100 mil worth, well before people started selling packs for 70k a set on Gorath, of resources that have a good possibility to be rather useless soon. Can we please get some info at least confirming that these resources, subcomponents, and crafted packs will have a definitive use?
And I saw what TH said yesterday, which was in regards to wound packs. However, nothing was said about pre-crafted buffs, stims, cures, etc., which worries me.
Edit: One more thing, what about the Doc (and CM) experimentation suits that I have. If those will be worthless, I will be rather annoyed...
Edit Edit: I want to say that I'm in favor of the doc/medic type changes as I've seen so far. I like nothing better then being a support character (see my MCM/MDoc template). I just don't want to lose my shirt on the hundres of mil I've spent on resources, etc.
And I saw what TH said yesterday, which was in regards to wound packs. However, nothing was said about pre-crafted buffs, stims, cures, etc., which worries me.

My guess? You will be pushed to BE in order to craft higher level medicinals (hopefully not Master BE, I don't expect that). Your clothes and existing buffs should be upgraded along with the combat system, I did read something in there about weapons and armor moving over with the CU, I assume the same applies to clothing and medicinals (otherwise every non combat shirt wearing crafter is nerfed to a degree, and SOE loses their collective shirt in this deal). Hold on to your resources, i have a feeling you will be able to use them without fail. If you sell them now I fear you will be bottom lined, because I assume sell sell sell will be everyone's initial reaction.

Yeah, I am extremely worried about all of this, I've dumped about 350 Million into resources. I'm just trying to break even now
lol after I just spent about 100 mill this week too

If you have lots or resources and don't want to go into medical crafting in BE, I'm sure there will be high demand for those resources by the many other medical crafters. If it's high quality, I'm sure people will pay a high price for it--as Rangers learned long ago.
