While waiting at the shuttle port i was holding off on buffing myself untill i arrived at my hunting destination when another master doctor hit me with a completely aweful health buff ( like -400) that he said would last around 10000 seconds. I have very low health due to my templates stat migration so i was rendered unable to hunt until this sorry buff wore off. I never asked and wasn't wearing my M.D tag atm, because i didnt want the tells. I'm sure he had no clue what my intentions were, but this put me out of action for about an hour. Just bad luck i guess. I felt violated LOL, even if it was unintentional.

Enhancements area great source of XP and the temptation is definitely there to run around hitting everyone with them.

However, there are a couple rules that I (and I think most doctors should) live by.

First, never apply an enhancement without asking. That person might be heading off somewhere to get buffed by a friend or by able to buff him/herself better than you. Or, what if you buff them for 90 minutes and they're planning on sitting in town for 75 minutes and then going hunting. Great. Now, when they could have been buffed right before they went out, not their buff runs out just as they're in the middle of a big fight. Not cool.

Second, don't apply your enhancements for free. I don't need the money, but there are other docs that do. By applying your enhancements for free, you're undercutting your fellow doctors. You're just making it harder for them to make a living. So, like I said, I don't need the money, but I always charge for my services. However, I do carry around some health and action c's that I sometimes apply for free to people that want a "sample." Nothing like getting them addicted to the drugs.

I don't need the money either (weaponskill/doc), but i think this should be something every doctor should read. This should go for wounds healing as well. I know plenty of struggling doctors that are unable to run the lvl of missions i run and i barely make ends meet. This should not apply to medics though as they can not perform the service that we are able to and need exp anyway.

I do have this mentioned under Issue #4 that the Devs got sent as their Correspondent report for August from me. So it's definitely on the list and they darned well better be aware of it. Of course this aspect of the issue isn't quite as big as the other aspects of enhance pack issues, but it's a possible grief nonetheless. Thankfully a lot of Docs tend to be a bit more thoughtful than that and hopefully we won't see this kind of griefing too often.

I never metioned wound treatments. Personally, I do apply them for free all the time and, for most medics, that's a great source of XP.

But, when it comes to enhancement packs, I'd hate to see people lose out on a great source of revenue just because a couple yahoos are buffing everyone for free. I mean, at 1k a pop, a 20 charge enhancement pack can net you 20k credits. That's certainly nothing to scoff at and I'd hate to destroy the best source of income a doctor has (unless he sells stims fora living).

Enhancement packs are the best way a doctor can make money without being a full-time crafter. I'm not gonig to destroy that just because I'm in the situation where I don't need the money. Someone else does and, as goofy as it sounds, if I don't take the money, the folks that need it won't get it, either.

Remember, if you don't want to be out of action for an hour, you cen just duel someone, once you get Incap'd you loose those buffs now anyway. You don't even have to get DB'd anymore.

I've been incapped many times with buffs, and don't lose them. Does this only happen in PvP? I think you can also log real quickly, and when you come back, the buff will be gone. Can't remember...and it's too late to think straight...

I have a guy who's so addicted to my buffs, that he'll duel me, let me knock him down (TKA), and then stay down. I incap him, DB him, rez him, feed him an Air Cake (restore stats), and then buff him.
