Thread: Cure Disease Worth Skill Points if don't PvP?

I am trying to determine how best to allocate my dwindling skill points and was wondering about the worth of /heal disease. I don't PvP and from what I read, disease only has application in PvP. I haven't run across a monster yet that used a disease attack. Am I correct? Would I be wise to stop at /cure poison and ignore the /cure disease skill further up the tree as long as I don't PvP?

Yes Endor mobs have disease, I believe Kimo's on Lok have disease, as well as some on Yavin 4, so if you are to be going after the big game you may want to consider getting that cure disease or you will be dead and have alot of wounds to heal after you clone

Ya... the endor disease mobs were of a particularily nasty surprise when I was out with a big-game hunting group and I didn't have any Disease packs on me [bad doctor, bad!] Fortunatly they were action diseases, so we waited for them to wear off and I healed'em up. In the meantime while waiting, I sampled up enough resources to make a Disease Medpack-C on the spot and didn't need to use it the rest of the night... *rollseyes* figures.

After I posted this question, my PA wenthunting on Endor for the first time. And yes, there are definitely monsters there that cast disease. *sighs* I just don't understand where these skill points are going to come from. I am master combat medic and I don't want to drop my novice pistoleer or Intermediate pistol stances, cause I love that pistol defense knockdown (even with the nerf). I guess I'll have to give up on being a master combat medic.

I already put all my surveying and scouting skills on my son's account. That'll work till he gets out of the Army in December and starts playing his account again. I am hoping they give us some form of medical survey skill by then, cause my son will only keep those survey skills till he needs them for something else. Crafting has never been his thing.

I want to be an all around medic in the field, with at least some limited ability to survive on my own (novice pistoleer with the one box in stances). I guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board on my character. Maybe disease is rare enough that we can wait it out when it does occur, as I can rez. I want to be an effective medic in the field, who can keep my team going and in good shape. I guess some kind of CM/Doctor hybrid is best for that, with no master in either skill.
