Hello everyone, first off i don't ask for tips. I appreciate them when they are given but won't ask for them. Just in my personal history of Doctor the one's that need only minor wounds healing tip alot more. I had one guy tip me 20k for one wound heal. Meanwhile i had a guy that was 100 percent wounded from space he was lying on his back on lok couldn't even get up i healed him which took 20 minutes at least and no tip. My question is why are the one's that least need the wound healing tipping me and the one's that need it more stiffing me. Honestly i am happy with healing someone for free but if your all black and it takes me 20 minutes to heal you feed me some cash. I know i could always decide not to heal them but i'm nice. Just people with alot of wounds have got to appreciate the time we doctors take out of the game to heal them. One or two isn't so bad but 20 minutes is alot of time. But that is where i'm convused the less i have to heal the bigger the tip. Just something i've noticed.

Yeah have had that happen to, however it could of been it was a new player who had hardly any credits. Often is when they have more black then healthy HAMs. On the other hand it could of been a jerk, best not to think about it and move on. Someone will soon tip you 50k for healing one wound and you'll feel all better

The ones getting their wounds taken care of right away are either more responsible, or more knowledgable about the game than the people with full black bars. As a result, they appreciate your time more, and understand how you are stopping your own playtime to help them, hence, the larger tips.

I find that most people who have huge amounts of wounds are generally poor players, or new players, who just don't understand, or care, that you are taking a lot of your own playtime away to help them.

This is a pretty big generalization of course, not all players with large amounts of wounds are bad, and not all players with small amounts are skilled, it's just a trend I have noticed. 4 out of 5 times it is true though, at least in my experience.

yeah i am not too upset just want people to realize if your bar is all black and we doc's take our personal time out to heal you up you could be somewhat generous about it since if we don't heal you then your kind of stuck in a bad situation. That particular person was 80 level so he's been playing for a bit. But i do see that people that have been around a while tip better. I understand new people don't necisarily tip or have the money to tip. But i've seen some low level's tip me 2k which i appreciate the gesture as that is alot of money for them. I usually give the money back to them or spend some time answering questions about the game to help them.

It all depends on what they can pay. If I see a level 10 with a black health bar, yes, it sucks that it will take 10 mins to heal him, but I'll do it. Hopefully wound heals will be much faster in pub 19.

The one with fewer wounds was probably a vet, a CL80 or such, and has the money to spare, so he tipped you well.

And they should, wound heals are about the only sellable skill that doctors have these days, and unless some cash flows the doctor's way, who is going to bother to set themselves up to wound heal in places where the wounded pass through, yet places where the doc cannot earn any XP?

Exactly. I've noticed the same, and I attribute it to the fact that vets know how to play the game and so either don't get as many wounds or get them healed regularly, and of course have the money to tip well, while those who have most of their health gone tend to be new players that don't know what they're doing, don't know they should really tip, and don't have the money even if they do.

I tend to heal people with lots of wounds at the major starports because, in general, it is helping out new players. Even though most don't tip, unless there is an experienced player helping them that tips for them, I'vehad one tip me. Was only like 700 credits, but considering that may have been a huge amount to the person I still thanked them and appreciated it.

Guess it really doesn't matter to me as much, as I don't expect the huge tips to begin with. Makes getting a large tip all the better when you do get one, though.

O h i hear you about that. I love getting tipped especially a big tip. But i dont' ask for them. And i'm happy to help new people. Just wish the big black bar people would tip more since it takes alot of time to heal them. I don't care if i do one or two wound heals for a person no big deal i can practically do that while running to where i'm going. Just wish people would undderstand when i stop and heal you for 15 minutes i'm not getting anything out of it no xp no nothing only if you tip do i get something out of.

I don't want tips (hell they're nice) I'd just like a thank you now again. I hate it when you land at a starport and you get the "Are you in the Med Centre, I need healing?" tell. I always reply "Whats your BF and are you combatent?" depending on a working answer I'll head over, even though this isn't the NHS and I don't HAVE to heal them.

I'll get thereheal them for 400 wounds, then they just get up and run out. No thank you or anything, my ignore list is nearly getting as high as my friends list.

Wow! I thought it was just me. I agree with whoever said that the people who take care of their wounds are probably more experienced players that understand the game and when it is appropriate to tip.

I definitely get more tips from people in the low to mid wound range. I never expect a tip. If I didn't have the time to heal someone I wouldn't have started in the first place.

I'd recommend that you take yourself out of the search function, then. That got annoying to me shortly after the CU when I'd start getting random tells from people on other planets even while hunting begging me to come heal their wounds.

I live by the rule that if they actually see me in game with my title up, they can ask me and get a heal.

Most of those do tip, from my experience, too. Maybe they see you more as another personsince they actually have to notice you in game first rather than asjust like an on-call doc to do their bidding. I don't know.

The one that didn't tip was most likely new. My cousin started playing and he didn't know anything about doctors or entertainers. When I caught up to him on the ground he was 1/4 health bar, and had bf 1000. I healed his bf with my musician, and took him into town to find a doctor. Doctor healed him up, and my cousin just walked away. I sent a tell to the doctor explaining he was new and to wait there. I then gave my cousin 25k ( he is poor, being new and all ), and proceeded to explain to him how to tip, and why he should tip at least something. I feel having a good relationship with a few Doctors will save you alot of hassle finding someone when you really need help. Many newer players are unaware of the social aspects of the game, and just need a liitle guidance.

I run a wound healing macro during the daytime (while I am at work) in Mos Eisley because that's where all the new players tend to be. I used to go to Bestine but that's too IMPy now and I play with combatant on. I have had a few tips, anywhere from 100 to 8000 credits. Most of the time none. I don't care.

But the best one I ever ran across was this guy (I don't remember his name), he was SF and the rest of us are Combatant's and we are doing base take downs. Now we are like 3000M from the closest reb base, and this guy dies. Nobody can rez him cause he's SF. Also were fighting like 3 NPC strongholds and getting our butts kicked. A lot of people dieing and two MDs rezzing folks. This guy is begging for us to rez him. Man it's like desperation. I'll give you a million credits, he screams. Now I think about it, travel 3000m just to go SF and rez this guy, meanwhile me and the other doc are working are butts off. I ask him why are you so desperate? His answer, I just got my uber clone armor and I haven't stored my clone data since January!

Screw him, the idiot, he cloned, never seen him again.

Next time you run across someone like that, remind them that clone data won't save them from decay, only insurance will. Or at least lower the decay amount.

Second, "screaming" like that in the middle of a battle, no matter the reason, is just rude imho.
