Thread: I dont agree with /healmind, but I do think there should be a /healenhance mind

It would be a good solution.

Why?
1)You still cant insta-heal it. So, it helps balance against rifle nerf
2) Makes all pools more balanced in PvP. instead of health 2300+, action 2300+, mind 1000. It would be an even 2300+ across the board.
3) Helps against eyeshot without nerfing it.
4) Helps the docs keep people alive. Remember: most of the time in pve, the group member dies not because I couldnt keep up with the health/action damage when I was healing. It was the slow mind damage from every shot that slowly meant his was going to die.

I agree with both /healmind and /healenhance mind, but in both cases it should be the province of the Entertainer-class professions, not the medic-class professions. I don't want them fooling with health and action, so why should I want to tread on mind?

And I believe that high level entertainers can buff mind, but it requires you to watch them for longer than most players have the patience for and doesn't last nearly long enough.

they have duration 2x the time u spent watching them...

I disagree with entertaineers buffing mind pool or healing it like a stim pack.



Its just plain stupid and makes it like a "magic spell"



What is the entertaineer going to do: " pull out his flute" and magically buff me for 1000+ in mind pool?


I think this is way over the line in regards to "magic" .

Leave the Mind Enhancement to the Entertainers - but spread the word that you need to watch the Novice Dancers/Musicians rather than Novice Entertainers to do so.

The Performers who use the flashing lights, disco ball, smoke bombs and fireworks are the ones who can buff the mind, and it takes more action to do so. Most Entertainers don't even know about this ability, and many don't bother picking up the skills until they've taken care of the rest of the skill tree.

Spend some time keeping one of these Entertainers going by healing them, and you'll be set when it's time to head out and destroy your mind in battles/while healing.

We could watch or listen to a flute. lol I think we can justify Docs buffing mind pools as while. But to give entertaineers the ability to buff mind pool 1000+ with a flute is just to much on the side of "magic".

Like I said. I dont think docs need to heal mind damage, but I do think they should be able to buff it.

I don't think there should be a /healmind command. This would make doctors and combat medics overpowered since we could just keep pulling out heals if we had the /healmind profession near us. I think there would be very few deaths orincapacitations and I don't think that's a really feasible idea.


The /healenhance mind is out there with the entertainers but it wears off too fast from what I've seen, and many people have no idea how it works or don't realisethat its even possible. Maybe the buff time should be extended and the information about the entertainers be spread around.

Explain me this, why is music magic? Music is soothing, relaxing, music tames the savage beats. You sit back listen to the music, relax kick your feet up, enjoy the entertainers and get your mind of whatever it was one, this allows you to focus better. Have you ever seen a show? akoncert?how did you feel afterwards?


Ok ok I yield McFly, it is a kind of magic, but you need to understand it is the good kind, I use it on many occasions, I just hope I can avoid the stake when the villagers comes knocking with all sort of questions about my devils music.


Sidenote, entertainers dont buff for 1000, atleast not in my experience, I admit I might be wrong.

I must really suck at this game. True, most of the folks I group with will go down due to Mind Incap/DBs, but I still lose folks on occasiona to H/A Incaps/DBs. Even with ranged heals and all. Getting aggroed on and using up so much of my mind pool to heal is one of the big factors. It's real easy to lose track of how much healing you are doing and how low your mind it getting when watching other folk's HAM bars. One hit from an aggro, even when trying to avoid that as much as possible, is sometimes all it takes to take my abilities out of the picture, and it thends to be all downhill from there, except maybe for a CH, especially one willing to sacrifice their pets and expecially of those pets are high level.


Since everyone else seems capable of never letting their groupmates drop from H/A I can only conlude that either I completely suck at this game, they are in better/largergroups (possibly with multiple healers?) or you guys just don't take on stuff that's enough of a challenge. Seeing folks talk about taking on the Nightsisters and such, I can only guess that I really must be because I just suck.

Zarlor:Its not only the size of the group you are with, but how good they are. Get a few master pistoleers, good BHs, and good CHs in a group, and you won't have to heal a whole lot. Mostly pets =)
