I was under the impression that we would get exp for using our food/chem factory to craft crates. I really don't see any change in my exp stats and want to know how about utilizing my time to get good exp in crafting.

You used to get 10% of the crafted XP for items made in a factory, but its been nerfed a couple time snow I believe, and it seems more like 1% to me. *shrug*

After the patch a while back, you only get 10% of the experience you would get by hand when using a factory.

Ex:
10 BECs from a factory = Same xp as ONE BEC crafted using a crafting tool.

I haven't been getting any xp from any of my factories

You also have to be in close proximity to the factory, I believe

At one time there was a bug that provided 100% XP is you were near the factory. It was a bug, however, and factories are supposed to provide 10%XP no matter how close or far you are, or even if you are offline. 10% always.

But, it looks like factories are not giving a full 10% right now and they are eithyer giving nothing or they are giving something, but very, very slowly (like a 4 hour run might pass along the XP over a2 day period, according to some experimentation a smuggler friend did with some spices in his factory.)
