I'm starting into the medical profession and I need a good droid. I was just wondering what droid and what modules would be the very best possible for what I would need.

I don't know what the "best" modules to get are, but I have

1. Med Module (Rating 110)

2. Food & Chem crafting module

3. Storage module.

It does everything I want it to do.

That's a good question. If you had access to a Master DE, what would a Master Doctor ask for him to make for him?

I personally started with an R2 unit that had:

Level 6 med module (healing at 110%)

Food Chem Station

Storage (10 spots)

Light armor (15% Resists)

242 on the HAM bars

However, when I got a few more bucks and a DE friend I had the following bad little Probot made:

Lev 6 Med

Food Chem

Storage (10 Spots)

Medium Armor (40% Resists, highest allowed on a droid)

846 HAMS

I am much more likely to take him out in the field than I was my little R2, although be aware that if you try to have a droid tag along like you would a pet, if he gets low on energy, there is no warning. He just stops following you. And there is no energy meter to check. It's just Surprise! Your Droid is no where near you. Hope you paid attention to where you have been lately.

Also not the Medical droids have very low HAM and don't actually act as a medical droid unless you burn a spot putting in a Med Unit.
