Thread: Doctor additions to Combat Medic
I'm starting into the Combat Medic profession (along with some weapon skills) and while I plan on becoming a Master Combat Medic I should have around 30 points to put into Doctoring. What do people think is the best allocation of those points for someone who wants to help out in a group and occasionally solo? Is there a line or two in doctoring that is somewhat redundant for those who are not mastering doctor, but mastering CM?
I like the ideas of buffs, whatare the requirements to use the best enhance Medpacks?
Reviving generally helps.... (Master Wound Treatment)
And uhhh.. most of my Enhancement E packs require about 74 Med use to use. =T
way to go, the only person in the galaxy with enhancement E's.

I think you have 2 good options.
Wound treatment 4, doctor knowledge 3 for enhances and revives (both of which can be purchased fairly easily so you don't need crafting).
If you want to craft all your own CM meds (including sub-components), you could go wound treatment 4, crafting 3 to get more doc experimentation points.
I would go for the first option and find a doctor to craft sub0component schematics for me.
Hmmm...at 30 points, you've got a bit of a tradeoff...at 32, I think you'd be quite set. Here's my thoughts...
In order to apply the best buffs, you could go Wound Treatment 2, Med Knowledge 3, which would cost you 27 points. However, you would not be able to revive fallen players.
If you wanted to revive, you'll have to climb all the way up toWound Treatment4, but thattakes 14 points and only leaves you with 10 points to climb the med knowledge tree (novice doc costs 6) and 10 points will only get you to Med Knowledge 2. At Med Knowledge 2, you can apply enhancement C packs, but not D's. Perhaps, if they ever fix the ease of use experimentation bug on those packs, you'd be able to use D level packs at Med Knowledge 2 but, as of right now, you can't.
If you could come up with 2 more skill points, you could have Wound Treatment 4 and Med Knowledge 3, which would allow you to revive players and use the best enhancement packs.
But, if you can't scrounge up 2 more points, I'd recommend going 0/4/2/0. You'll be able to revive players and use C level enhancements. Also, the bonuses you get to wound treatment in the Wound Treatment line will make your buffs more powerful. Using a C level buff with Wound Treatment4 would probably give you nearly as good a buff as using a D level buff with Wound Treatment 2 (probably not as good, but shouldn't be far off).
So there are my thoughts. Of course, you're going to find yourself buying plenty of crafted goods from docs as you won't really be able to make your own (at least not as well as us Master Docs).
