i was very excited to get cure poison...until i was poisoned.

as i tried over and over to stop the poison i was incap, since time spent going through the apply med animation over and over is time spent not fighting.

i reada post that said they can cure poison with one shot of there C packs.

True? if so i will buy 100 packs for anybody on starsider! hehe

oh yeah, and can these be used with med use 70?

Even the best cure poison packs can't always cure poison on the first try. It might take anywhere from 1-3 tried to cure some poisons. And, unfortunately, Cure Poison C packs are some of the most difficult medical items to use, coming in at about Medical Use 97.

wow...double bummer

so basically, you have to be master doc to even come close to using a decent poison pack and even then, it mayhave the same effect as an A pack? i have cured poison with 3 hits from the very first A pack i ever made...

hmm, so when the combat medic burst runs past you throwing poison and does not even attempt to attack you...your only choice is to ry and run in the other direction...that sounds fun.

i have just started taking part in PvP and this is the only thing that has been a bit annoying...i feel that for every action, there should be an equally effective counter action...then winning or losing would depend on strategy and group diversity...not burst run.

oh well, guess i don't need to worry about getting any more med use ability since it won't make much of a difference. thanks for the reply!

Yeah - this is one of the top issues for docs right now - our cures seem to be overmatched by the power of combat medics' poisons. Check the big list and I'm sure you'll see it in there. Of course, I'm sure that the combat medics will fight any upgrade to our cure ability. But, as a master doctor (and former master combat medic) I think we need the upgrade.

The thing about this issue is, and Z has stated many times, that it is all server dependent. Meaning that, on some servers, the resources needed to craft C-Poisons may be better then the resources needed to craft C-Cures.

I, personally, have tested this with a C-Level Single Person Poison on a few friends. I took my experimented C-Cure and healed each person with one shot. Every time.

Maybe the resources for the poisons weren't as good as the resources for the cures on my server, or maybe they were evenly matched for once. I don't really know...

All I know is that, it really all depends on the resource quality which, when it comes to crafted items, is as it should be...

But, as has been stated before, perhaps as doctors we should receive some form of resistance bonus for cures/poisons that way we wouldn't have to worry so much about curing ourselves(which spends a lot of mind simply to keep ourselves up) and focus more on our groupmates.

jabjowie, i think your giving the combat medics a little too much credit. I'm a master combat medic and i've had my poisons (that have a potency of 100+) cured in 1-2 shots. Also, there is no way to burst run past someone and poison them because the animation of throwing the poison makes you come to a complete stop for about 4 seconds- which assures me of a trip to the clone center 50% of the time that i poison someone lol.

I think your looking at it the wrong way, Its not neccesary to be a master doctor to Cure that poison, but you HAVE to be a master combat medic to even Think about making that poison,
