I'm pretty curious about something and wanted to get an idea on this.

How many Docs out there who are NOT CMs make CM components to sell to CMs?

I am asked pretty often to make schematics from provided resources. Noone asked for ready componentsyet ...

Me too. I don't like the component sales business anyways, though. I have maybe two people I sell regular components too, and only because one is a guild mate and the other just begged me enough to get me to do it.

I think most CMs probably just suck it up right now and take Doc crafting to make the best components they can, rather than relying on a Doc supplier, but I just wasn't sure. I can't think of any in particular on Eclipse (even P&L Medical the last time I was there didn't have any CM components for sale.)

Actually, I have been getting into the subcomponent sales business now. For some time now, I've been selling BEC's, CRDM's, SDS's, and LS's (mostly advanced) and they sell very well. I had been interested in trying to expand to also sell CM subcomponents but I've had little interest. I had posted the idea on my galaxy forum and I had a couple people that seemed rather lukewarm to the idea, but that was about it. So, as of right now, I haven't started producing these things, but I would, if someone asked me to.

Not to sell, I just give themfor guildies.

Well, I won't make any unless I am asked by a friend who is a CM.But, even then, it is pretty rare.

I think the CM stuff should be moved into the Combat Medic line because it a) provides less clutter for Doc meds and b) it lets CM make the best stuff for THEM instead of having to go toa Doc to make them, where the Doc will overcharge, in most cases.

Well I've been getting more and more requests to make them right now, but I haven't the resources to make them yet. The Stim B and related subcomponent business (usually BEs who buy them) has been taking too much of my time. Plus, I kept hoping they'd fix the schematic problems before I devoted time to the advanced components.

Since I have been flooded with requests lately, I've been offering the hook that if they provide the resources, I'll make the schematics. Heck, I probably wouldn't even charge for the first few schematics just to have experience in making them.

I'm a master doc/master CM who's never really done any CM stuff.

I talked to a couple of CM's about this last night (on Chilastra), one whom was a master CM.

They do not read the boards... and didn't even realize docs could make better parts for them... I think the general thinking is that people can make their own parts best, and don't realize that the crafting imbalance is there.

I don't think I have ever sold anything to a CM (even full meds)... mostly I sell to medics, or novice self-healers.. and ten usually whole meds.

Selling components is a half-business as i call it. Resources cost me average 3cpu except meat. Final items yield 20cpu. So if i charge 20cpu on components i wont get any buyers and will be flamed on.Сharging 8-10cpuIwill plain lose money. Only option is when i have over 200k of resource and a spare factory, like now, so its dilemma -10cpu right now or 20cpu in a future. I chose 10cpu plus a customer base right now
