No question: You should spend your points to get 0-3-0-4. If I misunderstood your point availability, just reduce the accuracy level. To choose either of the other two paths would be a mistake. Please feel free to head on over to our Pistoleer boards and read some of the posts and the excellent FAQ. They should make clear my justification for this.

To emphasize this: Fan Shot and Stopping Shot are inferior to Body Shot 2 with regards to killing anything. Mathematical fact.

Agree but getting FAN shot or 0/0/4/0 will be a whole lot easier because it's just pistol XP the 0/0/0/4 tier is all COMBAT XP, ouch.

For one line I would most likely suggest 0/0/4/0 as that gives you Fan Shot, and your defenses like prot vs knockdown, ect.

You will definitely get the best answer for this question in the Pistoleer forum. Right now for non-masters, Body Shot 3 is a worse attack than Body Shot 2. Body Shot 3 does more damage than 2, but the delay is also longer. The numbers work out that unless you are a master with a fast gun, Body Shot 2 is a better attack. Therefore I think the points you have allocated to get Body Shot 3 will be better spent elsewhere (dodge right now is also considered to be pretty much worthless). The other 3 lines of Pistoleer have good points to them, but which is the best for a dabbler is debatable.

Some people swear by the pistol speed, personally I have a love affair with Fanshot. Stopping shot is useful at times too.

After reading and posting to another thread in the Pistoleer forum I am convinced now that accuracy and speed are the only mods/skills worth getting. Fan Shot is great for maximizing XP from a kill, but the random damage appears to be significantly less effective in killing something quickly than plain old body shot 2.

I am a 2-4-3-0 doc and 0-1-4-1 Pistoleer. I would strongly suggest that you pick a diffrent weapon line, carbine or rifle. The only reason to get pistoleer atm is to aguement pistol moves in bh/smuggler, by itself its just horrible...

If you are dead set on getting pistol though, I recommond either 0-4-0-1 or 0-4-0-1. You get to choose either fan-shot, or speed. Pistol whip is actually the best skill in the whole broken proffession.

Thanks for the info guys. So far from reading the posts here and on the pistoleer forum I think I'm going to go 0401. Seems a good way to go and I can always bump up more in the last collumn if I find it good =)

I'm a master doctor with about 26 skill points to allocate in the pistoleer tree. Cureently I have 3200 but was wondering if this was the right way to go. I'd like to get a better idea of what I'm missing out with other branches and if they'd suit me better being a doctor then the ones I currently have. Your info is much appreciated =)\

I'm a doc / P-Leer and it works out well my suggestion would be to get 0041 in the pistoleer line (if you can) the tier one skills are 5 points though anyway the 0041 will give you Disarm, Double Tap, Stopping Shot, Fan Shot, and Pistole Melee Defense1 (pistolwhip/KD) so you get quite a bit of power, but there is a bit of a lack of offensive mods, you do get some def. vs states though (blind/dizzy/kd)

Are any of the Marksman Pistol shots worth anything? I havn't seen that myself. When go up that third tier, do you get a wow effect when you get a pistoleer special shot? As opposed to a so what effect getting a marksman shot.

Basically I have enough points to spare to climb a full branch and 3 of another or combination but with 0030 I'd have 12 poitns left to put where I wanted to. but your suggestions sounds great cause right now I have body shot 3 but it's slow as to really not be that effective for me and body shot 2 is doing almost as much dmg and quicker.
