Thread: Ooooh what a beauty...
Well, I hate to be an A-Hole, but I'm gonna. Hopefully this will be fixed when my bloody server pops back up, but with this pack of coders at the helm who the hell knows... I am a MD... My buffs now seem to add Live health and action which is nice, but in my humble opinion they should have all along... BUT when they wear off the buff is removed from the bottom of the health pool not the top... Which is a nice way of saying that if your victim err err I mean Buffie, does not have more live health or action than their total pool - buff they will be incapp'd immediately... So **edit** it hurts... I fail to understand how someonecould impliment something like this without knowing what would happen. I also don't understand how NO ONE in the test center EVER had a buff wear when they were low to mid health.... I'm not saying that couldn't happen, but even if they wore off when they were at full health they should have noticed HOW they were wearing off and then tested it at other health levels. That would have been the bright thing to do if you ask me.. I mean, that's afterall, how I discovered it on the live server....
I really hate to be critical of a persons work. But please raise your hands if you'd still have a job after doingsomething like this? The entire patch has been bugged to the point the servers have been down ALL bloody day. I'd be in the unemployment line personally... Now whenever I am critical of others work, some smart*** is always quick to ask "Can you do better"... To answer that right up front, maybe, maybe not, but I can do this bad... Now raise your hands if you think you could write your own patch for this game, and keep the servers down all day? Yeah, I see those hands, I bet any one of us could do it.. We don't need any experience with coding even... =) WTG SOE
Ahh, now I feel better...
I would like to say that Q3, I think you may be the only person at SWG who's actually doing their job, you patronize us flawlessly, and even have sympathy for those frustrated by the overwhelming incompetence demonstrated since the release of this game. I would like to thank you for putting up with the p*ssing and moaning of the masses. Although I doubt you'll read this post, thank you for earning your keep, and hope to see you in a better game, under better circumstances sometime in the furture.. /grinz
Oh yes, I almost forgot, now your crates of subcomponents no longer have radial menu option 1 as upack a component, it's now 2. Which means for all those, like myself, who would carry your subs in your backpack and have a toolslot to unpack singles when needed for impromptu crafting, will no longer be doing that, now you'll be opening your backpack and searching all over the place for it. /sighz
Until then...

{-Sheeeesh when is WoW/FF11 coming out!-}
I just want to clearify two things and address another in your post..
1) You are saying that when you buff someone, that buff is applied and the additional health is "healed" as opposed to looking like a damage.
2) You are saying that when the buff wears off, insted of reducing the cap, it reduces the cap and does that much damage to the person, so if they had 1000 HP pre-buff. you buffed them for 2000, (now 3000) and they boff wears off, but their health was at 1500 at the time of the buff wearing off, they would end up with -500 health and incap'd when it wore off? If that's what you are say, PLEASE /BUG IT!!!
Note: On the crafting peiece, according to the patch notes, you should be able to double click that crate of sub-components while you are crafting and have it automatically put that sub component into the schematic. I.E. you no longer have to take an item out ofa crate before putting it into a scheamtic. You should be able to use the crate itself when crafting now.
Sorry about the early morning typo's.... Edited post below. ![]()

Hah...that would explain why my second char just keeled over last night while running out of Nym's on LoK. Merrily running along and BAM....insta incap with no damage message.
Fun Fun..../sigh
