I hate buying my Medical Supplie's, But everytime I make something it turn's out junky. I think I need better Resource's (Ex. Organic Inorganic Chemical) But where do I find it? I'd like to harvest it on my own, But I have problem's finding good OQ or PE. Any tip's for finding it?

Luck, it pretty much comes down to luck.

the resources are on a random shift schedule, something like 4-8 days, and there is no way to pridict where, when, or how good they are when it shifts.

only thing I can say is develop a network of friends that can help you spot when a new resource pops up.

As far as the special resources go (Dolovite Iron, Class 4 Liquid Petro Fuel, etc.), it really does boil down to luck. Perhaps your server will see some great stuff, perhaps it won't. However, with this stuff, you're not really at that great of a loss (except perhaps to your pride) because everyone wil be stuck with the same crummy resources. Therefore, no one is going to making better meds than you because of your resources.

However, with the more generic resources, it's anything but luck. Gathering quality organics and inorganics is a matter of hard work and dedication, not luck. With so many resources out there, I can just about guarantee that there are some high quality ones on your server - you just need to find them. That often means doing quite a bit of sampling and perhaps some planet-hopping, as well.

As was mentioned, though, you should try to hook up with a network of other doctors that are often after the same things. Perhaps there are some resource brokers in the area that are "in the know" when it comes to this stuff as well. On Flurry, I organize a "ring" of doctors that shares information with one another regarding resources all over the galaxy. At any given time, me, along with the rest of the group, know exactly where the resources are and what qualities they have.

If you want to do it all yourself, I hope you don't have a job, because it's a lot of work. Try to find some others that can share info with you and you'll find your life gets a lot easier.

Oh yeah - one other hint - Be Prepared!

When Dolovite Iron shows up on your server with OQ 950, don't get caught with your pants down. Have some harvesters in reserve so that you can drop some extra harvesters on it and stock up for the month when it doesn't spawn at all.

Granted, I've been playing and selling meds for quite a while now, but I've got about 4 heavies of every kind of harvester. I don't have enough lots to use them all at once, but, when something good shows up, you'd better believe I'm going to get as much of it as I can.
