Before I get Novice Doctor I want to harvest all the nessesary resources myself while I still can, so I won't have to shell out 80cpu for Avian meat 
Please tell me the resources I will need to level myself to master, and to make decent buffpacks/rezkits one I reach that level. I would also like to know the quantities needed for each (I plan on keeping Doctor until the combat revamp)

Also, I've noticed that there seems to be a general disagreement concerning how much money doctors actualy pull in -- are doctors the hardworking middle-class or the ultrarich upperclass? Can someone set this straight for me please?

The most important things you will need are the same items you used to make advanced components in medic. You will be using those to grind out the crafting part of doc, most people seem to agree that Lok Wild Wheat and Tat Fiberplast for making ABEC's are the best thing to grind with cost/exp benefit in mind. For all the other items used in doctor, quality is always an issue because your meds will always be a reflection of your resources used, and until you make master doctor, crafting without the 10 experimentation points on high quality resources is a bit of a waste, so it would be my suggestion to hold off on hoarding items away unless you can find high quality resources.
As far as making money as a doctor, don't hold your breath until you make master. Most people do not bother tipping at all for healing wounds/states/damage anymore. The buffs you will be able to provide once you get the heal enhance skill won't really be very powerful either and most people will balk at buying buffs from you since master doctors are a fairly prevalent profession and easy to find. Once you do make master doctor, it becomes easier, since buying buff packs from docs with 11-12 experimentation points and then selling the buffs at coronet starport/dant mining outpost will be able to make you a tidy profit as long as you can handle the crowds. Me personally, I hated doing so I made my money with other professions and just being the field doctor in group hunts.
